أعربت مصر عن إدانتها واستنكارها الشديدين للهجمات الإيرانية التي طالت دولة قطر، معتبرة تلك الهجمات انتهاكا لسيادة قطر وتهديدا لسلامة أراضيها وخرقا للقانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة، مؤكدة تضامنها الكامل مع دولة قطر ووقوفها إلى جانبها.
وأكدت مصر - في بيان صادر عن وزارة الخارجية- قلقها البالغ من التصعيد المتسارع الخطير الذى تشهده المنطقة، مؤكدة رفضها الكامل لكافة أشكال التصعيد العسكري أو المساس بسيادة الدول، داعية إلى ضرورة خفض التصعيد ووقف إطلاق النار حفاظا على الأمن والسلم الإقليميين.
وشددت مصر على أهمية تضافر الجهود الإقليمية والدولية لاحتواء التوتر المتصاعد والذى ينذر بخروج الأمور عن السيطرة، وبذل الجهود الدبلوماسية لمنع انزلاق المنطقة نحو مزيد من التصعيد والاحتقان.
وجددت مصر دعوتها إلى ضبط النفس وتغليب منطق الحوار والحلول الدبلوماسية، بما يحفظ أمن واستقرار المنطقة، بعدما شن الحرس الثوري الإيراني هجوما صاروخيا على قاعدة العديد الجوية في قطر أمس الإثنين، ردا على ضربات أمريكية استهدفت ثلاثة مواقع نووية إيرانية (فوردو، نطنز، وأصفهان) يوم السبت الماضي.
Egypt expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian attacks that targeted the State of Qatar, considering these attacks a violation of Qatar's sovereignty, a threat to the integrity of its territory, and a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter, reaffirming its full solidarity with the State of Qatar and its support for it.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt confirmed its deep concern over the rapidly escalating tensions in the region, reiterating its complete rejection of all forms of military escalation or infringement on the sovereignty of states, and calling for the necessity of de-escalation and a ceasefire to preserve regional security and peace.
Egypt emphasized the importance of regional and international efforts to contain the rising tensions that threaten to spiral out of control, and to exert diplomatic efforts to prevent the region from slipping into further escalation and tension.
Egypt renewed its call for restraint and prioritizing dialogue and diplomatic solutions, in order to preserve the security and stability of the region, after the Iranian Revolutionary Guard launched a missile attack on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar yesterday, Monday, in response to American strikes that targeted three Iranian nuclear sites (Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan) last Saturday.
