فيما حذر الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش من أن الوضع في الشرق الأوسط بات على «حافة الهاوية»، وصف المدير العام للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية رافاييل غروسي في جلسة طارئة لمجلس الأمن اليوم (الجمعة) الوضع في محطة بوشهر بأنه «مقلق جداً». وأكد غروسي أن «أي هجوم على بوشهر سيفضي إلى مستوى كبير من النشاط الإشعاعي الخطر». وحذر من أن أي هجوم على المفاعل النووي في بوشهر ستكون له «تبعات كارثية». وقال: لم يتم رصد إشعاعات نووية من المنشآت الايرانية«، إلا أنه أعلن أن» الخطر موجود".وأضاف إذ تعرضت منشأة بوشهر لهجوم فقد يسبب ذلك تلوثا إشعاعيا واسعا وسيؤدي إلى تبعات كارثية على سكان طهران لاحتوائه على مواد نووية.وأفاد بأنه تبقى هناك احتمالية لحصول تلوثات كيميائية وإشعاعية في منشأة نظنز النووية.
وكشف أنه تم استهداف بنى تحتية كهربائية في موقع نطنز للتخصيب، وأضاف أن الوكالة الدولية «لم تبلغ بزيادة المستوى الإشعاعي في أصفهان».من جانبه، قال الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة إن توسع الصراع قد يشعل ناراً في العالم لا يمكن مواجهتها، داعياً إلى العودة لمفاوضات تتسم بالجدية. واعتبر أمام جلسة لمجلس الأمن أن العالم «أمام لحظة مفصلية، وعلينا أن نتحلى بالمسؤولية». وحذر: «العالم يقف الآن على حافة الهاوية، وعلينا مسؤولية كبيرة».
وناشد غوتيريش أطراف النزاع الإسرائيلي الإيراني «إعطاء فرصة للسلام»، وقال: «إلى أطراف النزاع -الأطراف المحتملة في النزاع- وإلى مجلس الأمن كممثل للمجتمع الدولي، لدي رسالة بسيطة وواضحة: أعطوا فرصة للسلام»، في إشارة ضمنية إلى الولايات المتحدة التي تنظر في التدخل عسكرياً لدعم إسرائيل.
وتحدثت وكيلة الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة للشؤون السياسية وبناء السلام روزماري ديكارلو عن تقارير عن حركة نزوح كبيرة في إيران جراء الصراع مع إسرائيل.
من جانبه، دعا مندوب الصين في الأمم المتحدة فو تسونغ إسرائيل إلى التوقف عن أفعالها لمنع حدوث كارثة. وقال: «ندين بأشد العبارات ما يحدث بين إسرائيل وإيران».
فيما أكد مندوب باكستان لدى الأمم المتحدة عاصم أفتخار أن هجمات إسرائيل على إيران تهدد العالم بأسره.
يذكر أن هذا الاجتماع هو الثاني لمجلس الأمن الدولي حول حرب إيران وإسرائيل، ويعقد بمبادرة من روسيا والصين وباكستان.
وعقد مجلس الأمن في 13 يونيو اجتماعاً استثنائياً بشأن العملية الإسرائيلية في إيران، وتم خلاله تقديم معلومات من الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية حول المنشآت النووية في طهران.

He warned that any attack on the nuclear reactor in Bushehr would have "catastrophic consequences." He stated: "No nuclear radiation has been detected from Iranian facilities," but he announced that "the danger is present." He added that if the Bushehr facility were attacked, it could cause widespread radioactive contamination and lead to catastrophic consequences for the residents of Tehran due to the presence of nuclear materials. He reported that there remains a possibility of chemical and radiological contamination at the Natanz nuclear facility.
He revealed that electrical infrastructure at the Natanz enrichment site has been targeted, adding that the agency "has not been informed of an increase in radiation levels in Isfahan." For his part, the UN Secretary-General stated that the escalation of the conflict could ignite a fire in the world that cannot be confronted, calling for a return to serious negotiations. He considered, during a session of the Security Council, that the world is "at a pivotal moment, and we must act responsibly." He warned: "The world is now on the edge of the abyss, and we have a great responsibility."
Guterres urged the parties in the Israeli-Iranian conflict to "give peace a chance," saying: "To the parties in the conflict - the potential parties in the conflict - and to the Security Council as a representative of the international community, I have a simple and clear message: Give peace a chance," in an implicit reference to the United States, which is considering military intervention to support Israel.
The UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Peacebuilding, Rosemary DiCarlo, spoke about reports of significant displacement in Iran due to the conflict with Israel.
For his part, the Chinese representative at the UN, Fu Tsung, called on Israel to stop its actions to prevent a disaster. He said: "We strongly condemn what is happening between Israel and Iran."
The Pakistani representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar, confirmed that Israel's attacks on Iran threaten the entire world.
It is worth noting that this meeting is the second of the Security Council regarding the war between Iran and Israel, held at the initiative of Russia, China, and Pakistan.
The Security Council held an extraordinary meeting on June 13 regarding the Israeli operation in Iran, during which information from the International Atomic Energy Agency about nuclear facilities in Tehran was presented.
