أعلن وزير الخارجية العماني بدر البوسعيدي اليوم (السبت) أن المحادثات الإيرانية الأمريكية المقررة في مسقط غداً (الأحد) لن تعقد، موضحاً أن الدبلوماسية والحوار السبيل الوحيد لتحقيق سلام دائم.
وكان وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي قد قال في حديث مع مسؤولة السياسة الخارجية في الاتحاد الأوروبي كايا كالاس: إن استمرار المفاوضات مع أمريكا في ظل استمرار الهجمات الإسرائيلية أمر غير مبرر.
بدوره، قال الرئيس الإيراني مسعود بيزكشيان اليوم (السبت)، إن دعم أمريكا لإسرائيل خلال المحادثات معنا يظهر «عدم نزاهة» من قبلهم، متوعداً برد «أشد وأقوى»، حال كررت إسرائيل عدوانها على طهران.
ونقلت وكالة «تسنيم» الإيرانية للأنباء عن بيزكشيان قوله خلال مكالمة هاتفية مع رئيس وزراء باكستان: إن إسرائيل وبدعم من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية والدول الغربية، تنتهك كافة القوانين الدولية.
وأضاف أن «إيران نجحت بقدراتها الدفاعية في إسقاط عدد من المعدات التي استخدمتها إسرائيل، رغم ترويج تل أبيب بأنها شبحية ولا يمكن التصدي لها»، مشيراً إلى إن قواته تمكنت من إسقاط أسلحة إسرائيلية قيل إن الرادارات لا ترصدها.
بالمقابل، أعرب وزير الدفاع الأمريكي بيت هيغسيث عن أمله أن تختار إيران التفاوض، موضحاً لقناة «فوكس نيوز» أن إيران تعلم أن بإمكانها العودة إلى التفاوض.
وأشار إلى أن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب يواصل توضيح أن إيران يجب ألا تسعى لامتلاك أسلحة نووية، ولن تحصل عليها.
وكانت صحيفة وول ستريت جورنال قد نقلت عن مسؤول بوزارة الدفاع الأمريكية (البنتاغون) تأكيده عن حشد طائرات مقاتلة في أنحاء الشرق الأوسط قبل هجمات إيران مساء أمس.
من جهة أخرى، ذكرت الخارجية الروسية أن وزير الخارجية سيرغي لافروف أبلغ نظيره الإيراني عباس عراقجي استعداد موسكو لمواصلة المساعدة في تسوية الأزمة بشأن برنامج إيران النووي، مبينة في بيان أن الوزيرين اتفقا على مواصلة الاتصالات بشأن تصعيد الصراع بين إسرائيل وإيران.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in a conversation with the European Union's foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, that continuing negotiations with the U.S. amid ongoing Israeli attacks is unjustifiable.
For his part, Iranian President Masoud Beizkeshian said today (Saturday) that America's support for Israel during talks with us shows "lack of integrity" on their part, vowing a "stronger and harsher" response if Israel repeats its aggression against Tehran.
The Iranian news agency "Tasnim" reported Beizkeshian as saying during a phone call with the Prime Minister of Pakistan that Israel, with the support of the United States and Western countries, is violating all international laws.
He added that "Iran has successfully used its defensive capabilities to shoot down several pieces of equipment used by Israel, despite Tel Aviv promoting that they are stealthy and cannot be countered," noting that his forces managed to shoot down Israeli weapons that were said to be undetectable by radar.
In contrast, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth expressed hope that Iran would choose to negotiate, explaining to "Fox News" that Iran knows it can return to negotiations.
He pointed out that U.S. President Donald Trump continues to clarify that Iran should not seek to acquire nuclear weapons and will not obtain them.
The Wall Street Journal reported that a U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) official confirmed the mobilization of fighter jets across the Middle East ahead of Iran's attacks last night.
On another note, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov informed his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi of Moscow's readiness to continue assisting in resolving the crisis regarding Iran's nuclear program, indicating in a statement that the two ministers agreed to maintain communications regarding the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran.
