While Kyiv confirms that it seeks to end the war this year, Russia and Ukraine announced today (Thursday) the completion of a new prisoner exchange operation.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated: Today, soldiers from the armed forces, the National Guard, and the border guard are returning home.

In contrast, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the return of a group of Russian military personnel from territories controlled by the Kyiv regime, without specifying the number of exchanged prisoners, expressing its readiness to conduct prisoner exchanges daily according to the schedule agreed upon in Istanbul.

For his part, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated today that his country is seeking to end the war with Russia this year, emphasizing the need to increase pressure on Russia.

Kuleba said before his European allies at a security forum in Rome: We want to end this war this year, clarifying that diplomacy of appeasement does not succeed with Russia, "It is time for pressure diplomacy."

On another note, new nighttime strikes carried out by Russia using drones resulted in the injury of 14 people, including four minors, in the city of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine, which is subjected to near-daily airstrikes.

Emergency services clarified that a two-year-old child and three teenagers are among the injured, indicating that the attacks caused fires in residential and educational buildings. They noted that debris fell near children's playgrounds.
