وأصبح حساب كاتي ميلر على «X» الآن سيلاً مستمراً من المنشورات المُشيدة بماسك وشركاته.
وكانت كاتي ميلر انضمت إلى إدارة ترمب خلال فترة ولايته الأولى، والتقت زوجها أثناء عملها في وزارة الأمن الداخلي، وقررا الزواج في حفل أقيم بحضور الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب في فبراير 2020، في فندق ترمب في واشنطن العاصمة.
ليست المرة الأولى
لم يكن ذلك الموقف المحرج الوحيد لكاتي ميلر في أروقة البيت الأبيض، إذ سبق لها أن انضمت إلى مكتب نائب الرئيس مايك بنس، بعد انتفاضة يناير 2021، عندما انقلب ترمب على بنس لرفضه عرقلة التصديق على نتائج انتخابات 2020، ووجدت ميلر نفسها، كما هي الآن، في موقف محرج.
بينما بقي زوجها مع ترمب، وعملت كاتي ميلر مع بنس بعد انتهاء ولايته الرئاسية، ولكن عندما بدأ ترمب بمهاجمة بنس بعد مغادرته منصبه، قرر مستشارو نائب الرئيس السابق أن الوضع «لا يُحتمل»، فغادرت ميلر، وفقاً لصحيفة وول ستريت جورنال.

تباينت الآراء داخل البيت الأبيض حول مدى تأثير ارتباط كاتي ميلر بالعمل مع ماسك على مستقبل زوجها في البيت الأبيض، وقال مسؤول كبير في البيت الأبيض لشبكة CNN: «هذا الأمر برمته سيزيد الأمر تعقيداً بالتأكيد». «إن حصول كاتي على أجر من إيلون ليس في صالح ستيفن».
وفي المقابل، نفى مسؤول كبير آخر في البيت الأبيض بشدة فكرة أن هذه الحادثة مع ماسك ستؤثر على ستيفن ميلر بأي شكل من الأشكال.
وقال المسؤول: «بعد رئيسة الأركان سوزي وايلز، يثق ترمب بستيفن ويعتمد عليه أكثر من غيره»، مضيفاً أن الرئيس وكبار المسؤولين كانوا متفهمين أن زوجته التي تعمل مع ماسك لا علاقة لها بستيفن أو بالوضع الراهن.
ويعتقد البعض من بين أقرب مستشاري ترمب أن رئيسة الأركان سوزي وايلز فقط هي التي تتفوق عليه في السلطة، ما أثار تكهنات البعض حول ما إذا كان بإمكانه تولي المنصب إذا قررت وايلز التنحي.

Katie Miller joined the Trump administration during his first term and met her husband while working at the Department of Homeland Security, and they decided to marry in a ceremony attended by President Donald Trump in February 2020 at the Trump Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Not the First Time
This was not Katie Miller's only embarrassing situation in the halls of the White House, as she previously joined Vice President Mike Pence's office after the January 2021 uprising, when Trump turned against Pence for refusing to block the certification of the 2020 election results, and Miller found herself, as she is now, in an awkward position.
While her husband stayed with Trump, Katie Miller worked with Pence after his presidential term ended, but when Trump began attacking Pence after he left office, the former vice president's advisors decided that the situation was "untenable," leading Miller to leave, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Last summer, Katie Miller emerged as an effective link between Musk and Trump's campaign, and when the title "DOGE," which Musk granted before Trump took office, was announced, she was among the first staff members to be appointed. Before Trump's second term, Miller gained a strong reputation as a bold and vocal advocate for Trump's agenda.

Opinions within the White House varied regarding how Katie Miller's connection to working with Musk might affect her husband's future in the White House. A senior White House official told CNN: "This whole thing will certainly complicate matters." "Katie getting paid by Elon is not in Stephen's favor."
In contrast, another senior White House official strongly denied the idea that this incident with Musk would affect Stephen Miller in any way.
The official stated: "After Chief of Staff Suzy Wiles, Trump trusts Stephen and relies on him more than anyone else," adding that the president and senior officials understood that his wife working with Musk had nothing to do with Stephen or the current situation.
Some among Trump's closest advisors believe that only Chief of Staff Suzy Wiles outranks him in authority, raising speculation among some about whether he could take over the position if Wiles decided to step down.
