The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced today (Sunday) the deaths of two individuals and injuries to others in Israeli airstrikes targeting areas in the south of the country, confirming that one of the deceased was targeted by the Israeli enemy while riding a motorcycle in the town of Arnoun in the Chouf region, approximately 5 kilometers from the border with Israel.
The ministry clarified that the second person was killed in an airstrike carried out by the Israeli enemy, which targeted a vehicle on the road to Dibl in the district of Bint Jbeil, noting that another airstrike targeted a vehicle in the neighboring town of Beit Lif, resulting in one person being injured.
The announcement by the Lebanese Ministry of Health coincided with an announcement from the Israeli occupation army about the elimination of a member of "Hezbollah," stating that one of its aircraft attacked and killed a member of "Hezbollah" belonging to the anti-tank missile system in the Arnoun area in the district of Nabatieh.
Two individuals were killed (on Thursday) while a third was killed (on Saturday) in Israeli strikes targeting areas in southern Lebanon, part of thousands of violations that have resulted in at least 208 deaths and 501 injuries according to reports from Arab media since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on November 27.
Meanwhile, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun today called for enhancing economic cooperation among Arab countries by establishing a system for common Arab interests, explaining in a joint press briefing with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani in Baghdad that "such a system would be based on the exchange of common interests between our countries and peoples and their development and multiplication."
