أعلن وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي أن نظيره العماني بدر البوسعيدي زار طهران اليوم (السبت)، لعرض «بنود الاقتراح الأمريكي» للاتفاق النووي، موضحاً أن بلاده سترد على المقترح الأمريكي بشكل مناسب، بما يتماشى مع مبادئ الشعب الإيراني، ومصالحه الوطنية وحقوقه، بحسب وكالة تسنيم الإيرانية.
وكانت طهران وواشنطن قد خاضت 5 جولات من المحادثات بوساطة عمانية، لحل النزاع المستمر منذ عقود حول البرنامج النووي الإيراني، لكن عراقجي قال الخميس إنه ليس واثقاً من قرب التوصل إلى اتفاق بين بلاده والولايات المتحدة بشأن البرنامج النووي الإيراني.
وأعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب الجمعة، أن الولايات المتحدة «قريبة جداً» من التوصل إلى اتفاق مع إيران بشأن برنامجها النووي، ملوحاً في الوقت نفسه بالخيار العسكري في حال تعثرت المفاوضات، مبيناً أن هناك فرصة للتوصل إلى اتفاق مع إيران، فهم لا يريدون مشاهدة التفجيرات، بل يريدون بدلاً من ذلك التوصل إلى اتفاق.
وأعرب عن أمله في التوصل إلى اتفاق في المستقبل غير البعيد والذي قال إنه سيكون شيئاً عظيماً، مضيفاً: إذا تمكنا من التوصل إلى اتفاق دون إلقاء القنابل في جميع أنحاء الشرق الأوسط، سيكون ذلك أمراً جيداً جداً.
وأشار إلى رغبته في أن تكون إيران في وضع آمن، وناجحةً جداً، لكن لا يمكن أن يحصلوا على سلاح نووي، وأعتقد أننا قريبون جداً من التوصل إلى اتفاق مع إيران.
The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that his Omani counterpart Badr al-Busaidi visited Tehran today (Saturday) to present the "terms of the American proposal" for the nuclear agreement, explaining that his country will respond to the American proposal appropriately, in line with the principles of the Iranian people, its national interests, and its rights, according to the Iranian Tasnim news agency.
Tehran and Washington have engaged in 5 rounds of talks mediated by Oman to resolve the decades-long dispute over the Iranian nuclear program, but Araghchi said on Thursday that he is not confident about the proximity of reaching an agreement between his country and the United States regarding the Iranian nuclear program.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Friday that the United States is "very close" to reaching an agreement with Iran regarding its nuclear program, while also hinting at the military option should negotiations falter, stating that there is a chance to reach an agreement with Iran, as they do not want to see explosions, but rather want to reach an agreement instead.
He expressed hope for reaching an agreement in the not-too-distant future, which he said would be something great, adding: If we can reach an agreement without dropping bombs all over the Middle East, that would be very good.
He indicated his desire for Iran to be in a secure and very successful position, but they cannot obtain a nuclear weapon, and I believe we are very close to reaching an agreement with Iran.
