استمراراً لجهود المملكة العربية السعودية ودولة قطر في دعم وتسريع وتيرة تعافي الاقتصاد السوري، وامتداداً لدعمهما السابق في سداد متأخرات سورية لدى مجموعة البنك الدولي، التي بلغت نحو 15 مليون دولار، تعلن المملكة العربية السعودية ودولة قطر تقديم دعم مالي مشترك للعاملين في القطاع العام بالجمهورية السورية لمدة ثلاثة أشهر.
ويأتي هذا الدعم في إطار حرص البلدين الشقيقين على استقرار الجمهورية العربية السورية، وتخفيف المعاناة الإنسانية، وتعزيز مصالح الشعب السوري الشقيق، وذلك انطلاقاً من الروابط الأخوية والعلاقات التاريخية التي تجمع بين شعوب الدول الثلاث.
وتؤكد المملكة العربية السعودية ودولة قطر أن هذا الدعم يعكس التزامهما الثابت بدعم جهود التنمية، وتعزيز الاستقرار الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في سورية، والمساهمة في تحسين الظروف المعيشية للشعب السوري الشقيق.
كما أعربتا عن تطلعهما إلى تنسيق الجهود مع المجتمع الدولي عموماً، وشركاء التنمية من المنظمات الإقليمية والدولية خصوصاً، في إطار رؤية واضحة وشاملة، تسهم في تحقيق الدعم الفاعل والمستدام، وتعزيز فرص التنمية للشعب السوري الشقيق.
Continuing the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar to support and accelerate the pace of recovery of the Syrian economy, and extending their previous support in settling Syria's arrears with the World Bank Group, which amounted to about 15 million dollars, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar announce the provision of joint financial support for public sector employees in the Syrian Republic for a period of three months.
This support comes as part of the two brotherly countries' commitment to the stability of the Syrian Arab Republic, alleviating humanitarian suffering, and enhancing the interests of the Syrian people, based on the fraternal ties and historical relations that bind the peoples of the three countries.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar affirm that this support reflects their steadfast commitment to supporting development efforts, enhancing economic and social stability in Syria, and contributing to improving the living conditions of the Syrian people.
They also expressed their aspiration to coordinate efforts with the international community in general, and development partners from regional and international organizations in particular, within a clear and comprehensive vision that contributes to achieving effective and sustainable support, and enhancing development opportunities for the Syrian people.
