هدد وزراء في الحكومة الإسرائيلية بضم أجزاء من الضفة الغربية في حال اعترفت الدول الأوروبية بشكل أحادي الجانب بدولة فلسطينية. وبحسب صحيفة «تايمز أوف إسرائيل» فإن ذلك جاء على لسان وزير الشؤون الإستراتيجية الإسرائيلي رون ديرمر الذي أبلغ ذلك لوزير الخارجية الفرنسي جان نويل بارو، ووزير الخارجية البريطاني ديفيد لامي.
ونقلت صحيفة «هآرتس» الإسرائيلية عن دبلوماسيين أجانب أن ديرمر أكد للوزيرين الأوروبيين أن إسرائيل قد ترد على الاعتراف بدولة فلسطينية بضم المنطقة (ج) من الضفة الغربية وشرعنة البؤر الاستيطانية غير المصرح بها.
وأشار تقرير لصحيفة «يسرائيل هيوم» أن وزير الخارجية الإسرائيلي جدعون ساعر وجه رسالة مماثلة إلى نظرائه في بريطانيا وفرنسا ودول أخرى، محذراً من أن أي خطوات ضد إسرائيل ستقابل بإجراءات إسرائيلية، مثل بسط السيادة على مستوطنات الضفة الغربية وأجزاء من غور الأردن (وادي الأردن).
ويواصل المستوطنون المدججون بالسلاح اعتداءاتهم الممنهجة في مختلف مناطق الضفة الغربية، ضمن مخطط واضح لعزل التجمعات السكانية الفلسطينية، ومصادرة مزيد من الأراضي الفلسطينية لصالح التوسع الاستيطاني.
وشهد أبريل الماضي نحو 1700 اعتداء، وبحسب معطيات هيئة مقاومة الجدار والاستيطان فإن الإعتداءات نفذها جيش الاحتلال والمستوطنون في مختلف مناطق الضفة الغربية.
ويعتقد المستوطنون أن ثمة فرصة تاريخية لتغيير معالم الضفة جغرافياً وديموغرافياً وسياسياً وقانونياً، خصوصاً في ظل زيادة عدد البؤر الاستيطانية وتزايد وتيرة اعتداءات المستوطنين وزيادة الاقتحامات العسكرية والتضييق أكثر على القرى القريبة من جدار الفصل العنصري، فضلاً عن توسيع إسرائيل عملياتها في المخيمات.

Israeli government ministers have threatened to annex parts of the West Bank if European countries unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state. According to the "Times of Israel," this was stated by Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, who conveyed this to French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and British Foreign Secretary David Lammy.
The Israeli newspaper "Haaretz" reported that foreign diplomats said Dermer confirmed to the European ministers that Israel might respond to the recognition of a Palestinian state by annexing Area C of the West Bank and legalizing unauthorized settlement outposts.
A report by the newspaper "Israel Hayom" indicated that Israeli Foreign Minister Gidon Sa'ar sent a similar message to his counterparts in Britain, France, and other countries, warning that any actions against Israel would be met with Israeli measures, such as extending sovereignty over West Bank settlements and parts of the Jordan Valley.
Armed settlers continue their systematic assaults in various areas of the West Bank, as part of a clear plan to isolate Palestinian population centers and seize more Palestinian land for settlement expansion.
Last April, there were about 1,700 assaults, and according to data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, these assaults were carried out by the occupation army and settlers in various areas of the West Bank.
Settlers believe there is a historic opportunity to change the geography, demographics, politics, and legality of the West Bank, especially in light of the increasing number of settlement outposts, the rising frequency of settler assaults, and the escalation of military incursions and further restrictions on villages near the separation wall, in addition to Israel expanding its operations in the camps.
