وسط توسيع حرب الإبادة على غزة، وبالتزامن مع جولة المفاوضات الجديدة في الدوحة، تحدث مكتب رئيس وزراء الاحتلال بنيامين نتنياهو للمرة الأولى، اليوم (الأحد)، عن خيار إنهاء الحرب على غزة، بعدما كان يتمسك بوقف مؤقت للقتال.
وقال المكتب في بيان: «بتوجيه من رئيس الوزراء، يعمل فريق التفاوض في الدوحة على استنفاد كل فرصة للتوصل إلى اتفاق؛ سواءً وفقاً لخطة المبعوث الأمريكي ستيف ويتكوف أو في إطار إنهاء الحرب، الذي يشمل إطلاق سراح جميع الرهائن، ونفي عناصر حماس، ونزع سلاح قطاع غزة».
وأكدت هيئة البث الإسرائيلية أنها المرة الأولى التي يعترف فيها مكتب نتنياهو بأن إسرائيل مستعدة للنظر في إنهاء القتال في هذه المرحلة. وأعلنت إسرائيل أمس، أنها تقبل فقط خطة ويتكوف القاضية بإطلاق 10 رهائن إسرائيليين أحياء مقابل وقف إطلاق نار لمدة لا تزيد على شهرين.
لكن حماس أبدت استعدادها لإطلاق جميع الرهائن الإسرائيليين، الأحياء والأموات، دفعة واحدة، مقابل إنهاء الحرب والانسحاب الإسرائيلي الكامل من قطاع غزة، وإطلاق سراح أسرى فلسطينيين من السجون الإسرائيلية. وتصر حماس على الحصول على ضمانات أمريكية بوقف الحرب والانسحاب مقابل موافقتها على الصفقة الإسرائيلية.
وأوعز نتنياهو لوفد التفاوض بالبقاء في الدوحة، وفق ما أفاد مسؤولون إسرائيليون، مؤكدين أنه أجرى اتصالات مع الوفد التفاوضي، ووزير الخارجية الأمريكي مارك روبيو، والمبعوث ستيف ويتكوف، حسب وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية.
وأفاد مصدر مطلع بأن المقترح الأمريكي الحالي يتضمن الإفراج عن عدد من الأسرى الإسرائيليين مقابل وقف مؤقت لإطلاق النار، من دون التوصل حتى الآن إلى صيغة نهائية. ووصفت مصادر حكومية إسرائيلية هذه الجولة بأنها «حاسمة»، مع التحذير من أن فشلها قد يدفع إسرائيل إلى توسيع عملياتها العسكرية في القطاع.
وكشف مسؤول إسرائيلي أنه «لا يوجد تقدم يُذكر في محادثات غزة التي تتضمن إنهاء الحرب». وبدأ وسطاء من مصر وقطر، بدعم من الولايات المتحدة، جولة جديدة من محادثات وقف إطلاق النار غير المباشرة بين إسرائيل وحماس (السبت)، لكن مصادر قريبة من المفاوضات قالت إنه لم يتم تحقيق تقدم يذكر.
وبعد نحو سبعة أشهر على اغتيال رئيس المكتب السياسي السابق لحماس يحيى السنوار، أكد وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس، أمس، أن جميع المؤشرات تؤكد مقتل قائد لواء خان يونس محمد السنوار، وتحدثت مصادر مطلعة عن العثور على جثة شقيق يحيى السنوار، و10 من مساعديه، داخل نفق في خان يونس جنوبي قطاع غزة.
وأكدت المصادر مقتل زكريا السنوار الشقيق الثاني ليحيى السنوار، وهو أستاذ التاريخ الحديث والمعاصر في الجامعة الإسلامية بغزة، برفقة أبنائه.
Amid the expansion of the genocide war on Gaza, coinciding with a new round of negotiations in Doha, the office of the occupying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke for the first time today (Sunday) about the option of ending the war on Gaza, after previously insisting on a temporary ceasefire.
The office stated in a statement: "Under the direction of the Prime Minister, the negotiating team in Doha is working to exhaust every opportunity to reach an agreement; whether according to the plan of the American envoy Steve Witkoff or within the framework of ending the war, which includes the release of all hostages, the expulsion of Hamas elements, and the disarmament of the Gaza Strip."
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority confirmed that this is the first time Netanyahu's office has acknowledged that Israel is willing to consider ending the fighting at this stage. Israel announced yesterday that it only accepts Witkoff's plan, which calls for the release of 10 living Israeli hostages in exchange for a ceasefire lasting no more than two months.
However, Hamas expressed its readiness to release all Israeli hostages, both living and deceased, in one go, in exchange for ending the war and a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, as well as the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails. Hamas insists on obtaining American guarantees for a cessation of hostilities and withdrawal in exchange for its acceptance of the Israeli deal.
Netanyahu instructed the negotiating delegation to remain in Doha, according to Israeli officials, confirming that he made contacts with the negotiating delegation, U.S. Secretary of State Mark Rubio, and envoy Steve Witkoff, according to Israeli media.
An informed source reported that the current American proposal includes the release of a number of Israeli prisoners in exchange for a temporary ceasefire, without reaching a final formula yet. Israeli government sources described this round as "decisive," warning that its failure could push Israel to expand its military operations in the sector.
An Israeli official revealed that "there has been little progress in the Gaza talks that involve ending the war." Mediators from Egypt and Qatar, supported by the United States, began a new round of indirect ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas (on Saturday), but sources close to the negotiations said that little progress has been made.
About seven months after the assassination of the former Hamas political bureau chief Yahya Sinwar, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed yesterday that all indicators confirm the death of the commander of the Khan Younis Brigade, Muhammad Sinwar, and informed sources spoke of finding the body of Yahya Sinwar's brother and 10 of his aides inside a tunnel in Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
