أعلن وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس، (الجمعة)، أن الجيش الإسرائيلي نفذ غارات جوية مكثفة على ميناءي الحديدة والصليف في اليمن، وهما ميناءان تسيطر عليهما جماعة الحوثي، معلناً أنه «إذا استمر الحوثيون في إطلاق الصواريخ باتجاه إسرائيل فسيتلقون ضربات موجعة».
وأوضح كاتس أن الغارات استهدفت بنى تحتية تابعة للحوثيين، وأشار إلى أن الميناءين يُستخدمان لنقل الأسلحة، وأن الهجمات ألحقت «أضراراً بالغة» بالمنشآت، وهي تصريحات جاءت بعد أيام من تحذيرات إسرائيلية بإخلاء الميناءين.
ووفقاً لتقارير، نفذت الغارات طائرات حربية إسرائيلية انطلقت من قواعد عسكرية، وتمت تحت إشراف مباشر من رئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو وكاتس من غرفة عمليات محصنة، وأكد الجيش الإسرائيلي أن العملية استهدفت «معاقل» للحوثيين، لكنه لم يقدم تفاصيل عن حجم الخسائر البشرية أو المادية، وأفادت مصادر محلية في اليمن بوقوع أضرار كبيرة في الميناءين، دون تأكيد لأعداد الضحايا.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Friday that the Israeli army carried out intensive airstrikes on the ports of Hodeidah and Salif in Yemen, which are controlled by the Houthi group, declaring that "if the Houthis continue to launch rockets towards Israel, they will receive painful strikes."
Katz explained that the airstrikes targeted Houthi infrastructure, noting that the two ports are used for transporting weapons, and that the attacks caused "severe damage" to the facilities. These statements came days after Israeli warnings to evacuate the two ports.
According to reports, the airstrikes were carried out by Israeli warplanes that took off from military bases, and were conducted under the direct supervision of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Katz from a fortified operations room. The Israeli army confirmed that the operation targeted "strongholds" of the Houthis, but did not provide details on the extent of casualties or material losses. Local sources in Yemen reported significant damage at the two ports, without confirming the number of victims.
