تواصل بلدية مدينة الظهران تنفيذ خططها الدورية لصيانة المسطحات الخضراء وتهذيب الأشجار في الحدائق العامة والمرافق الترفيهية، وذلك ضمن برامج أنسنة المدن وتحسين المشهد الحضري التي تُشرف عليها وزارة البلديات والإسكان، بهدف الارتقاء بالمظهر العام وتحسين جودة الحياة في المدينة.
وأوضح رئيس بلدية الظهران المهندس فيصل بن عبدالهادي القحطاني بأن أعمال الصيانة تشمل حزمة من المهام الميدانية، أبرزها قص الحشائش والمسطحات الخضراء بشكل منتظم للحفاظ على توازن نموها ومنع انتشار الآفات، وتقليم الأشجار وفق أساليب علمية تضمن نموها السليم وتحافظ على مظهرها الجمالي، إلى جانب إزالة الأشجار التالفة أو الميتة واستبدالها بأخرى مناسبة لطبيعة البيئة المحلية.
وأضاف القحطاني أن فرق البلدية تعمل كذلك على فحص أنظمة الري وصيانتها لضمان كفاءة توزيع المياه، بالإضافة إلى تنظيف الحدائق من الأوراق المتساقطة ومخلفات التقليم بما يسهم في توفير بيئة نظيفة وآمنة لمرتادي الحدائق.
وأكد أن هذه الجهود لا تقتصر على تحسين المشهد الجمالي فحسب، بل تهدف أيضاً إلى دعم الغطاء النباتي، وتعزيز جودة الهواء، والحد من التلوث البصري، فضلاً عن الإسهام في تحسين الصحة النفسية للسكان وتوفير بيئة مستدامة وآمنة للأطفال والعائلات.
واختتم المهندس القحطاني دعوته لسكان مدينة الظهران بالتعاون في الحفاظ على نظافة الحدائق، وعدم العبث بالمرافق العامة أو الإضرار بالأشجار، مشدداً على أن مشاركة المجتمع تمثل ركيزة أساسية لنجاح مشاريع التشجير والصيانة المستدامة في المدينة.
The Municipality of Dhahran continues to implement its periodic plans for the maintenance of green spaces and the trimming of trees in public parks and recreational facilities, as part of the urban humanization programs and the improvement of the urban landscape supervised by the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, aiming to enhance the overall appearance and improve the quality of life in the city.
The head of the Dhahran Municipality, Engineer Faisal bin Abdulhadi Al-Qahtani, explained that the maintenance work includes a package of field tasks, the most prominent of which are the regular mowing of grass and green spaces to maintain their growth balance and prevent the spread of pests, and the pruning of trees according to scientific methods that ensure their healthy growth and maintain their aesthetic appearance, in addition to removing damaged or dead trees and replacing them with others suitable for the local environment.
Al-Qahtani added that the municipality teams are also working on inspecting and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure efficient water distribution, in addition to cleaning the parks from fallen leaves and pruning debris, contributing to providing a clean and safe environment for park visitors.
He emphasized that these efforts are not limited to improving the aesthetic landscape alone but also aim to support vegetation cover, enhance air quality, reduce visual pollution, as well as contribute to improving the mental health of residents and providing a sustainable and safe environment for children and families.
Engineer Al-Qahtani concluded his call to the residents of Dhahran to cooperate in maintaining the cleanliness of the parks and to refrain from tampering with public facilities or harming the trees, stressing that community participation represents a fundamental pillar for the success of tree planting and sustainable maintenance projects in the city.
