عقد أمس (الأربعاء)، بمقر الأمانة العامة لجامعة الدول العربية الاجتماع الـ90 للمكتب التنفيذي لمجلس وزراء الإسكان والتعمير العرب، بمشاركة الوزراء المعنيين وممثلي الدول الأعضاء في المكتب التنفيذي.
وترأس وفد المملكة المشارك في الاجتماع وكيل وزارة البلديات والإسكان للدعم السكني يوسف عبدالعزيز الدهش.
وناقش الاجتماع الترتيبات الخاصة بعدد من المؤتمرات والمنتديات المتخصصة في مجالات الإسكان والتعمير، من بينها مؤتمر الإسكان العربي، وجائزة مجلس وزراء الإسكان والتعمير العرب، والمنتدى الوزاري العربي للإسكان والتنمية الحضرية، كما تطرّق إلى محاور أعمال الدورة الـ42 لمجلس وزراء الإسكان والتعمير العرب.
ويتضمّن الاجتماع متابعة تنفيذ الإستراتيجية العربية للإسكان والتنمية الحضرية المستدامة، والأجندة الحضرية الجديدة، وخطة التنمية المستدامة 2030، إلى جانب بحث آليات تعزيز التعاون مع المنظمات والاتحادات العربية والإقليمية والدولية ذات الصلة ضمن برنامج عمل المجلس لعام 2025.
وعلى هامش الاجتماع، عقد وفد المملكة لقاءً ثنائياً مع وزير الإسكان والمرافق والمجتمعات العمرانية في مصر وعدد من المسؤولين في الوزارة، وجرى خلاله بحث عدد من الموضوعات المشتركة، من أبرزها فجوة العرض والطلب في قطاع الإسكان، وآليات التمويل للمنتجات السكنية، وسبل تمكين ذوي الدخل المحدود من الحصول على السكن الملائم، إضافة إلى مناقشة فرص التعاون المستقبلية.
Yesterday (Wednesday), the 90th meeting of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction was held at the headquarters of the Arab League General Secretariat, with the participation of the concerned ministers and representatives of the member states in the Executive Bureau.
The delegation of the Kingdom participating in the meeting was headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing for Housing Support, Yusuf Abdulaziz Al-Dahash.
The meeting discussed arrangements for several conferences and specialized forums in the fields of housing and construction, including the Arab Housing Conference, the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction Award, and the Arab Ministerial Forum on Housing and Urban Development. It also addressed the themes of the 42nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction.
The meeting included follow-up on the implementation of the Arab Strategy for Sustainable Housing and Urban Development, the New Urban Agenda, and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, in addition to discussing mechanisms to enhance cooperation with relevant Arab, regional, and international organizations and federations within the Council's work program for 2025.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Kingdom's delegation held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities in Egypt and several officials from the ministry, during which several common topics were discussed, most notably the supply and demand gap in the housing sector, financing mechanisms for housing products, and ways to empower low-income individuals to obtain adequate housing, in addition to discussing future cooperation opportunities.
