«سلمان للإغاثة» يدشّن المرحلة الأولى من مشروع تركيب محطات تحلية المياه في قطاع غزة

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center launched the first phase of the water desalination stations project in the Gaza Strip, in the presence of representatives from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

The Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, the implementing partner of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in the region, is responsible for receiving the desalination stations from the executing companies and installing them in vital locations in the Gaza Strip, with the aim of ensuring service access to (300) thousand individuals in Khan Younis and the Middle Governorate.

Representatives of the UN and international organizations working in the region praised this vital humanitarian project and its important role in supporting the water sector, environmental sanitation, and improving the quality of life in Gaza.

For their part, beneficiaries expressed their deep gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for the generous humanitarian assistance provided to them, highlighting the importance of the project in supplying them with safe drinking water and for daily use.

These efforts come as part of the Saudi support provided through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, to alleviate the difficult living conditions faced by the region.
