نيابةً ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، شارك وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، في قمة السلام المنعقدة بمدينة شرم الشيخ بجمهورية مصر العربية، التي تهدف إلى إنهاء الحرب في قطاع غزة وتعزيز جهود إحلال السلام والاستقرار في منطقة الشرق الأوسط.
وعُقدت القمة برئاسة مشتركة بين رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية عبدالفتاح السيسي، ورئيس الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية دونالد ترمب، بمشاركة عددٍ من القادة وممثلي الدول والمنظمات الدولية، وجرى في بداية الاجتماع الترحيب بالاتفاق الذي توصلت له أطراف النزاع في قطاع غزة، والإشادة بالجهود المبذولة من قبل الرئيس الأمريكي، ومن قبل الدول الوسطاء؛ دولة قطر، وجمهورية مصر العربية، وجمهورية تركيا، والتأكيد لدعم جميع الجهود لتحقيق السلام والاستقرار في المنطقة.
وفي ختام القمة، وقّع رؤساء وزعماء كل من الولايات المتحدة وقطر ومصر وتركيا اتفاق إنهاء الحرب في غزة، في خطوة أولى لوقف شامل للحرب، وضمان استمرار تدفق المساعدات، وإتمام عمليات تبادل الأسرى والرهائن، والعمل مستقبلاً على إعادة الإعمار في قطاع غزة.
حضر الاجتماع مستشار وزير الخارجية للشؤون السياسية الأمير مصعب بن محمد الفرحان، وسفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى جمهورية مصر العربية صالح الحصيني، والمدير العام لمكتب الوزير وليد السماعيل، والوزير المفوض بوزارة الخارجية الدكتورة منال رضوان، ومستشار الوزير محمد اليحيى.
On behalf of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in the Peace Summit held in Sharm El Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt, which aims to end the war in the Gaza Strip and enhance efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East.
The summit was co-chaired by the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, with the participation of a number of leaders and representatives of countries and international organizations. At the beginning of the meeting, there was a welcome for the agreement reached by the parties to the conflict in the Gaza Strip, and praise for the efforts made by the American president, as well as by the mediating countries; the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Turkey, emphasizing support for all efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
At the conclusion of the summit, the leaders of the United States, Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey signed an agreement to end the war in Gaza, as a first step towards a comprehensive ceasefire, ensuring the continued flow of aid, completing the exchange of prisoners and hostages, and working in the future on the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
The meeting was attended by the Foreign Minister's Political Affairs Advisor, Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al-Farhan, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Saleh Al-Husseini, the Director General of the Minister's Office, Walid Al-Sama'il, the Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Manal Radwan, and the Minister's Advisor, Mohammed Al-Yahya.
