تواصل المملكة العربية السعودية مواقفها العظيمة وجهودها المستمرة في دعم القضية الفلسطينية، وما يحقق أحلام وآمال وتطلعات الشعب الفلسطيني، الذي ينتظر إعلان دولته المستقلة وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.
لم تكتفِ السعودية بإعلان وقف إطلاق النار في غزة وإدخال المساعدات وعدم التهجير، بل أعلنت مواصلة جهودها في مزيد من الحشد الدولي وصولاً إلى دولة فلسطينية وفق ما جاء في مبادرة السلام العربية وبنودها التي طرحتها السعودية من خلال القمة العربية في بيروت عام 2002.
وتبقى السعودية العون والسند للقضية الفلسطينية وللشعب الفلسطيني الأعزل، مدافعة عن الحقوق التي كفلها القانون الدولي، ومنادية بتحقيق التطلعات المشروعة مهما كانت المصاعب والتحديات، وهو ما تحقق على أرض الواقع، إذ اكتسبت القضية الفلسطينية تأييداً دولياً على المستويين الرسمي وتعاطفاً غير مسبوق، يؤكد مدى نجاح الدبلوماسية السعودية في المحافل الدولية.
وينظر الشعب الفلسطيني إلى جهود السعودية ومواقفها بنوع من التقدير، بل ويدرك أنها تبقى طوق النجاة لقضيتهم من خلال تقدير العالم لعدالة طرحها، وهي تطالب بردع الكيان الصهيوني وممارساته التي تتنافى مع القوانين والأعراف الدولية، وتبني القضية الفلسطينية من خلال الاعتراف بدولة مستقلة عاصمتها القدس الشرقية، وحقوق كاملة للشعب الفلسطيني الذي ينشد حياة هانئة مستقرة أسوة بشعوب العالم.
