يرعى وزير الداخلية الأمير عبدالعزيز بن سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز، يوم 28 أكتوبر الجاري، حفل افتتاح بطولة العالم لرياضة الإطفاء والإنقاذ، التي تستضيفها المملكة من 26 أكتوبر إلى 1 نوفمبر 2025م في الرياض، وتنظمها المديرية العامة للدفاع المدني بالشراكة مع الاتحاد الدولي لرياضة الإطفاء والإنقاذ.
وثمّن مدير عام الدفاع المدني اللواء الدكتور حمود بن سليمان الفرج رعاية وزير الداخلية للبطولة التي تُقام لأول مرة في المملكة، وتزامنها مع مرور 100 عام على تأسيس الدفاع المدني، مؤكداً أن هذه الرعاية تجسّد مكانة المملكة وجهةً عالميةً لاستضافة الفعاليات الرياضية الكبرى، وتعكس صورتها الإيجابية بما ينسجم مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
وأوضح أن البطولة، التي ستقام في مدينة الأمير فيصل بن فهد الرياضية، تمثّل منصة دولية لتطوير مهنة الإطفاء والإنقاذ وتحسين مهارات العاملين فيها، وتعزيز التعاون بين الدول الأعضاء، واستعراض أحدث التقنيات العالمية في مجال السلامة والحماية المدنية.
مبيناً أن البطولة ستشهد مشاركة وفود رسمية من 22 دولة، وأكثر من 300 مشارك، سيتنافسون في أربع مسابقات، تشمل سباق قفز الحواجز 100م، والسباق التتابعي 400م، وتسلق البرج بالسلالم، وسباق المكافحة.
The Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, will sponsor the opening ceremony of the World Firefighting and Rescue Championship on October 28, which will be hosted by the Kingdom from October 26 to November 1, 2025, in Riyadh. The event is organized by the General Directorate of Civil Defense in partnership with the International Federation of Firefighters and Rescue.
The Director General of Civil Defense, Major General Dr. Hamoud bin Suleiman Al-Faraj, praised the Minister of Interior's sponsorship of the championship, which is being held for the first time in the Kingdom and coincides with the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Civil Defense. He emphasized that this sponsorship embodies the Kingdom's position as a global destination for hosting major sporting events and reflects its positive image in line with the objectives of Vision 2030.
He explained that the championship, which will take place at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City, represents an international platform for developing the firefighting and rescue profession, improving the skills of its workers, enhancing cooperation among member countries, and showcasing the latest global technologies in the field of safety and civil protection.
He indicated that the championship will witness the participation of official delegations from 22 countries, with more than 300 participants competing in four competitions, including the 100m obstacle course, the 400m relay race, tower climbing with ladders, and the firefighting race.
