التقى رئيس هيئة الرقابة ومكافحة الفساد مازن بن إبراهيم الكهموس، أمس (الثلاثاء)، عدداً من كبار المسؤولين الدوليين، على هامش الاجتماع العام السنوي الأول للشبكة الإقليمية لاسترداد الأصول في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا (مينا أرين)، الذي تستضيفه المملكة في محافظة جدة.
وشملت اللقاءات من جمهورية أذربيجان النائب العام كمران علييف، ومن دولة قطر النائب العام الدكتور عيسى سعد الجفالي النعيمي، ومن جمهورية لبنان وزير العدل عادل أمين نصار، ومن المملكة الأردنية رئيس مجلس هيئة النزاهة ومكافحة الفساد الدكتور مهند علي إبراهيم حجازي، ومن جمهورية مصر العربية وزير العدل عدنان فنجري أبو جبل حسين، والنائب العام محمد شوقي فتحي عياد، ورئيس مجلس أمناء وحدة مكافحة غسل الأموال وتمويل الإرهاب أحمد سعيد حسين خليل، ومن جمهورية باكستان الإسلامية رئيس المكتب الوطني للمساءلة نذير أحمد، ومن المملكة المغربية رئيس الهيئة الوطنية للنزاهة والوقاية من الفساد ومكافحته محمد بنعليلو.
وبُحثت خلال اللقاءات آفاق التعاون بين هيئة الرقابة ومكافحة الفساد ونظيراتها في الدول والمنظمات المشاركة في مجالات حماية النزاهة ومكافحة الفساد العابر للحدود، إلى جانب مناقشة عددٍ من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، والتأكيد على أهمية استمرار التنسيق بين المملكة والدول الأعضاء في المحافل الإقليمية والدولية، ولا سيما في مجالات سيادة القانون ومكافحة الفساد، وتعزيز الشراكات الإقليمية وتبادل الخبرات، بما يسهم في تطوير آليات العمل ورفع كفاءة الجهود المشتركة.
وأشاد الكهموس بمشاركة الضيوف في الاجتماع العام السنوي الأول لشبكة «مينا أرين»، معرباً عن تقديره لتعاونهم وتطلعهم إلى مزيدٍ من التنسيق والتكامل في مواجهة تحديات الفساد وتعزيز النزاهة.
The Chairman of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, Mazen bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous, met yesterday (Tuesday) with a number of senior international officials on the sidelines of the first annual general meeting of the Regional Network for Asset Recovery in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA ARIN), hosted by the Kingdom in Jeddah.
The meetings included the Attorney General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev; the Attorney General of the State of Qatar, Dr. Issa Saad Al-Jafali Al-Nuaimi; the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Lebanon, Adel Amin Nassar; the Chairman of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Muhannad Ali Ibrahim Hijazi; the Minister of Justice of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Adnan Fanjari Abu Jabal Hussein; the Attorney General, Mohamed Shawqi Fathi Ayad; and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Unit, Ahmed Saeed Hussein Khalil; the Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Nazeer Ahmed; and the President of the National Authority for Integrity and the Prevention and Fight Against Corruption of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mohamed Benalilou.
During the meetings, the prospects for cooperation between the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority and its counterparts in the participating countries and organizations were discussed in the fields of integrity protection and combating cross-border corruption, in addition to discussing several topics of mutual interest and emphasizing the importance of continued coordination between the Kingdom and member states in regional and international forums, particularly in the areas of the rule of law and anti-corruption, and enhancing regional partnerships and exchanging experiences, which contributes to the development of work mechanisms and improving the efficiency of joint efforts.
Al-Kahmous praised the participation of the guests in the first annual general meeting of the MENA ARIN network, expressing his appreciation for their cooperation and looking forward to further coordination and integration in addressing corruption challenges and enhancing integrity.
