تمكّنت الدوريات الميدانية للقوات الخاصة للأمن البيئي، وهي تؤدي مهماتها في تنفيذ نظام البيئة في محمية الملك عبدالعزيز الملكية من القبض على 3 مواطنين، هم: محمد باني المطيري وخالد برجس المطيري ومحمد عبدالله الجبلي؛ لارتكابهم مخالفة الصيد في أماكن محظور الصيد فيها، بحوزتهم بندقية شوزن، وبندقيتان هوائيتان، ومسدس هوائي، و828 ذخيرة منوعة، و67 كائنات فطرية مصيدة، وجرى إيقافهم واتخاذ الإجراءات النظامية بحقهم، وإحالتهم إلى الجهة المختصة.
وشدّدت القوات الخاصة للأمن البيئي على الالتزام بنظام البيئة ولوائحه التنفيذية التي تحظر صيد الكائنات الفطرية، مؤكدةً أن عقوبة الصيد دون ترخيص غرامة 10,000 ريال، وعقوبة الصيد في أماكن محظور الصيد فيها غرامة 5,000 ريال، وعقوبة استخدام بنادق الشوزن في الصيد دون ترخيص غرامة 100,000 ريال، وعقوبة صيد طائر الدخل دون ترخيص غرامة 5,000 ريال.
وأهابت بالمبادرة بالإبلاغ عن أي حالات تمثل اعتداءً على البيئة أو الحياة الفطرية، وذلك بالاتصال بالرقم (911) بمناطق مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة والرياض والشرقية، و(999) و(996) في بقية مناطق المملكة، وستعامل جميع البلاغات بسرية تامة دون أدنى مسؤولية على المبلّغ.
The field patrols of the Special Forces for Environmental Security, while carrying out their duties in enforcing the Environmental Law in the King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve, managed to arrest 3 citizens: Mohammed Bani Al-Mutairi, Khalid Burjis Al-Mutairi, and Mohammed Abdullah Al-Jabali, for violating hunting regulations in prohibited areas. They were found in possession of a shotgun, two air rifles, an air pistol, 828 assorted ammunition, and 67 trapped wildlife specimens. They were detained, and legal actions were taken against them, and they were referred to the competent authority.
The Special Forces for Environmental Security emphasized the importance of adhering to the Environmental Law and its executive regulations, which prohibit the hunting of wildlife. They confirmed that the penalty for hunting without a license is a fine of 10,000 riyals, the penalty for hunting in prohibited areas is a fine of 5,000 riyals, the penalty for using shotguns for hunting without a license is a fine of 100,000 riyals, and the penalty for hunting the Houbara bustard without a license is a fine of 5,000 riyals.
They urged the public to report any cases that represent a violation of the environment or wildlife by calling (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions. All reports will be treated with complete confidentiality, with no liability on the informant.
