رحَّبتْ رابطة العالم الإسلامي بإعلان رئيس الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية دونالد ترمب، خطةَ إنهاء الحرب على قطاع غزة، وبتفاعل المجتمع الدولي والقُوى الفاعلة معها، وما أبدَوْه مِن استعدادٍ لدعمها وضمان إنجاحها.
وفي بيانٍ للأمانة العامة للرابطة، جدّد الأمين العامّ رئيس هيئة علماء المسلمين الشيخ الدكتور محمد بن عبدالكريم العيسى، التأكيدَ على أنّ إنقاذ الأرواح، ووقف آلة الحرب ومخططات التهجير و«الضمّ»، ووضع حدٍّ للكارثة الإنسانية التي يشهدها القطاع، يمثِّل أولويةً مُلحَّةً في هذه المرحلة، ويمهِّدُ الطريقَ أمام المسار السياسيّ نحو الحلّ العادل والشامل على أساس حلّ الدولتين.
The Muslim World League welcomed the announcement by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, regarding the plan to end the war on the Gaza Strip, and the international community's interaction and the active forces with it, as well as their expressed readiness to support it and ensure its success.
In a statement from the General Secretariat of the League, the Secretary-General and President of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, reiterated that saving lives, stopping the war machine and plans for displacement and "annexation," and putting an end to the humanitarian catastrophe witnessed in the Strip, represents an urgent priority at this stage, and paves the way for a political path towards a just and comprehensive solution based on the two-state solution.
