The King Abdulaziz Foundation confirmed to "Okaz" that the founder made justice a fixed principle; it was not just slogans, but a way of life that he lived and applied to himself before others, believing that the strength of the state can only be built on the foundation of justice.
Inspection
King Abdulaziz was keen to personally follow up on the affairs of the people, leading judges to various regions to assess the needs and complaints of the residents, and sometimes visiting them personally to listen to their statements directly. The year 1353 AH/1934 AD witnessed an inspection tour during which he summoned the locals and sat among them to hear their demands, and one of them said: This king has won our hearts with his justice and fairness.
Confronting Injustice
The foundation indicated that the founding king did not merely issue orders, but was keen to explain their contents himself to ensure clarity, emphasizing that his directives always focused on caring for the affairs of the subjects, preventing injustice, confronting corruption, and establishing values of integrity, honor, and trustworthiness.
Relationship of Trust
The foundation concluded its statement by affirming that these practices embodied the meanings of just leadership, as King Abdulaziz was close to his subjects, listened to them, and treated them fairly, laying solid foundations for a relationship based on advice, justice, and equality, so that his legacy remains a lasting testament that justice is the foundation of kingship, and that sincere care is what reinforces trust between the ruler and his people.
