وصل وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، إلى مدينة نيويورك بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وذلك لترؤس وفد المملكة المشارك في أعمال الأسبوع الرفيع المستوى للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في دورتها الثمانين.
ويضم وفد المملكة، سفيرة خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية الأميرة ريما بنت بندر بن سلطان بن عبدالعزيز، ووزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية عضو مجلس الوزراء ومبعوث شؤون المناخ عادل الجبير، ووزير الاقتصاد والتخطيط فيصل الإبراهيم، والمستشار بالديوان الملكي المشرف العام على مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية الدكتور عبدالله الربيعة، ووكيل وزارة الخارجية للشؤون الدولية المتعددة المشرف العام على وكالة الوزارة لشؤون الدبلوماسية العامة الدكتور عبدالرحمن الرسي، ومندوب المملكة الدائم لدى الأمم المتحدة في نيويورك السفير الدكتور عبدالعزيز الواصل.
تعزيز الجهود
وتستضيف المملكة على هامش انعقاد أعمال الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في دورتها الثمانين، عددًا من المبادرات والاجتماعات التي تهدف لتعزيز الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي والعالمي، وتعزيز الجهود الدبلوماسية والإنسانية والتنموية، حيث ستترأس المملكة المؤتمر الدولي الرفيع المستوى من أجل التسوية السلمية للقضية الفلسطينية وتنفيذ حل الدولتين على مستوى القادة، وكذلك الاجتماع الوزاري الرفيع المستوى للتحالف الدولي لتنفيذ حل الدولتين.
تنسيق العمل
ويشارك وزير الخارجية، وأعضاء وفد المملكة في احتفالية الأمم المتحدة بمناسبة مرور 80 عامًا على تأسيسها، إضافة إلى عدد من الاجتماعات الرسمية التي تهدف إلى تعزيز العمل الدولي متعدد الأطراف ومناقشة المستجدات على الساحتين الإقليمية والدولية، والجهود المبذولة لإرساء دعائم الأمن والسلم الدوليين، وتنسيق العمل المشترك لتحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة، إضافة إلى عقد اللقاءات الثنائية مع ممثلي الدول الشقيقة والصديقة، وعدد من مسؤولي المنظمات الدولية المشاركين في أعمال الأسبوع الرفيع المستوى للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, arrived in New York City, United States, to head the Kingdom's delegation participating in the high-level week of the United Nations General Assembly in its eightieth session.
The Kingdom's delegation includes the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United States, Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, a member of the Council of Ministers, and the Climate Affairs Envoy, Adel Al-Jubeir, the Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Al-Ibrahim, the advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs and General Supervisor of the Ministry's Public Diplomacy Agency, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, and the Kingdom's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasil.
Enhancing Efforts
The Kingdom is hosting a number of initiatives and meetings on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly's eightieth session, aimed at enhancing regional and global security and stability, and strengthening diplomatic, humanitarian, and developmental efforts. The Kingdom will chair the high-level international conference for the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution at the leaders' level, as well as the high-level ministerial meeting of the international coalition to implement the two-state solution.
Coordinating Work
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and members of the Kingdom's delegation will participate in the United Nations celebration marking the 80th anniversary of its founding, in addition to a number of official meetings aimed at enhancing multilateral international work and discussing developments on both regional and international fronts, the efforts made to establish the foundations of international peace and security, and coordinating joint work to achieve sustainable development goals, as well as holding bilateral meetings with representatives of brotherly and friendly countries, and several officials from international organizations participating in the high-level week of the United Nations General Assembly.
