بحضور رئيس الجمهورية الإسلامية الموريتانية محمد ولد الشيخ الغزواني، شارك الرئيس التنفيذي للصندوق السعودي للتنمية سلطان بن عبدالرحمن المرشد، في وضع حجر الأساس لمشروع مستشفى الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز في موريتانيا، الذي يأتي بمنحة من المملكة العربية السعودية من خلال الصندوق السعودي للتنمية بقيمة (70) مليون دولار.
حضر مراسم الحفل الوزير الأول المختار ولد أجاي، ووزير الصحة الموريتاني الدكتور عبدالله سيدي محمد وديه، ووزير الاقتصاد والمالية في موريتانيا سيد أحمد ولد أبوه، وسفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى موريتانيا الدكتور عبدالعزيز بن عبدالله الرقابي، وعدد من المسؤولين.
تعزيز الرعاية الصحية
ويمثّل هذا المشروع خطوة في مسار دعم القطاع الصحي وتعزيز التنمية المستدامة في الجمهورية الإسلامية الموريتانية، ويهدف إلى تعزيز الرعاية الصحية، من خلال إنشاء صرح طبي متكامل بسعة 300 سرير طبي، يضم مختلف التخصصات الطبية والعيادات المتخصصة والمرافق الحديثة منها الطوارئ والأطفال والنساء والولادة والعناية المركزة وعلاج أمراض الكلى وغيرها، والإسهام في تأهيل الطلاب والكوادر الطبية بما يواكب الاحتياجات الصحية.
ويهدف المشروع كذلك إلى تلبية الطلب المتزايد على الخدمات الصحية لسكان العاصمة، وأن يكون المستشفى مركزا مرجعيا لـ15 مستشفى وداعما للمؤسسات الصحية المتخصصة ذات الطاقة الاستيعابية المحدودة في موريتانيا.
يذكر أن مشروع مستشفى الملك سلمان في موريتانيا، يأتي تمويله في إطار نشاط الصندوق السعودي للتنمية من خلال تمويل المشاريع والبرامج الإنمائية، إذ قدّم الصندوق منذ 1979 للجمهورية الإسلامية الموريتانية التمويل لتنفيذ 20 مشروعا وبرنامجا إنمائيا، من خلال قروض تنموية ميسّرة تتجاوز قيمتها 665 مليون دولار، إضافة إلى المنح المقدمة من حكومة المملكة العربية السعودية من خلال الصندوق التي تبلغ أكثر من 172 مليون دولار، للإسهام في النمو الاجتماعي والازدهار الاقتصادي المستدام في موريتانيا.
In the presence of the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development, Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Murshid, participated in laying the foundation stone for the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Hospital project in Mauritania, which comes with a grant from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Saudi Fund for Development amounting to (70) million dollars.
The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister, Mokhtar Ould Ajay, the Mauritanian Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Sidi Mohamed Wadi, the Minister of Economy and Finance in Mauritania, Sid Ahmed Ould Abouh, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Mauritania, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Ruqabi, and several officials.
Enhancing Healthcare
This project represents a step in supporting the health sector and enhancing sustainable development in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. It aims to enhance healthcare by establishing a comprehensive medical facility with a capacity of 300 hospital beds, including various medical specialties, specialized clinics, and modern facilities such as emergency, pediatrics, obstetrics, intensive care, and kidney disease treatment, as well as contributing to the training of students and medical staff to meet health needs.
The project also aims to meet the increasing demand for health services for the capital's residents and to make the hospital a reference center for 15 hospitals and a support for specialized health institutions with limited capacity in Mauritania.
It is worth noting that the King Salman Hospital project in Mauritania is funded as part of the activities of the Saudi Fund for Development through financing development projects and programs. Since 1979, the fund has provided the Islamic Republic of Mauritania with funding to implement 20 development projects and programs through concessional development loans exceeding 665 million dollars, in addition to grants provided by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the fund, amounting to more than 172 million dollars, to contribute to social growth and sustainable economic prosperity in Mauritania.
