The royal speech, delivered on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the opening of the second year of the ninth session of the Shura Council, comes as part of the significant support from the leadership for the council and enabling it to perform its national role and its legislative and supervisory tasks, as well as participating in building and decision-making.

The contents of the annual royal speech reflect the state's directions and guide the council's performance, as the speech represents the foundations of the development and growth journey to achieve the objectives of the Saudi vision. The "Shura" works, through its multiple sessions and discussions, to actively contribute to the major transformations taking place in the Kingdom across various fields. The royal speech also addresses the Kingdom's domestic and foreign policies and its pivotal role and significant weight in achieving peace and stability at both the regional and international levels. The council draws from the royal speech a future action plan and transforms its contents into work programs aimed at the nation's growth, stability, and the well-being of its citizens.

The Shura Council has made many decisions in its previous sessions that have moved the council to a new phase of legislative and supervisory work, becoming a key partner in national decision-making and contributing immensely to national building and transformation.
