Dr. Mishal Al-Sulami, the Vice President of the Shura Council, affirmed that the royal speech outlines the Kingdom's internal and external policies and its positions on various regional and international issues, as well as the strategies and future projects of the state. He noted that this generous attention reflects the leadership's approach in empowering the council to perform its legislative and supervisory roles, and its influential role regionally and internationally through effective parliamentary diplomacy with regional and international parliaments and parliamentary unions, contributing to conveying the Kingdom's message and positions and serving its interests.

Dr. Hanan Al-Ahmadi, the Assistant President of the Shura Council, highlighted the support, sponsorship, and attention that the Shura Council receives in all its affairs from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince. This occasion reflects the status of the Shura Council within the legislative and supervisory system in the Kingdom and embodies the continuous follow-up and significant support that the leadership provides to the council, as well as its keenness to enhance its ability to carry out its legislative and supervisory responsibilities efficiently and effectively. She described the royal speech as an important national document that receives significant attention at both the local and international levels.

Mohammed Al-Mutairi, the Secretary-General of the Shura Council, confirmed that the contents of the annual royal speech reflect the belief of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his trustworthy Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, in the importance of integration among all state authorities and the pivotal role of the Shura Council in developing regulations and exercising its supervisory tasks through studying the performance of government entities and institutions, along with the support and care for the council from the leadership.

Dr. Aisha Arishi, a council member, explained in her talk to "Okaz" that the council eagerly and attentively awaits the royal speech and the noble contents and clear directives it carries. All council members are keen to act in accordance with it in all legislative and supervisory tasks across all specialized and parliamentary committees. She added that the royal speech is expected to include the journey of growth and giving that the Kingdom is witnessing, and the development and progress it has achieved, highlighted by accomplishments at the local, regional, and international levels, in addition to the foundations and constants of Saudi policy regarding issues of Arab and Islamic depth.

Motivation to Work Harder

Council member Fadl Al-Bouainin confirmed to "Okaz" that the annual royal speech holds great significance, as the council relies on the speech as a framework for its work and to outline the features of the upcoming phase, depending on it to perform its tasks. It supports the council and its members in ways that contribute to motivating them to exert more effort and work towards achieving aspirations, supporting the national transformation journey, and the developmental and economic programs in line with Vision 2030 and its ambitious programs.

Steady Steps Towards the Future

Council member Dr. Abdullah Al-Najjar considered the presence of the Crown Prince in the council as a continuation of the leadership's approach in establishing national participation and moving steadily towards a more prosperous future, enhancing the Kingdom's presence on the international stage. Al-Najjar expected, during his talk to "Okaz," that the royal address would address the most significant internal achievements and shed light on the Kingdom's role globally.

Dr. Hassan Al-Hazmi, the Chairman of the Culture, Sports, and Tourism Committee, regarded listening to the royal speech as a beacon that guides the council and a good directive that illuminates steps and leads them towards the public good, carrying within it the contents of the state's internal and external policies and defining the main features of the economic, social, and developmental aspects of the Kingdom. He added, speaking to "Okaz": The council looks forward to achieving the leadership's directives and contributing to serving the nation and the citizen.
