تماشياً مع أهداف الاستراتيجية الوطنية للمياه في المملكة العربية السعودية لتحقيق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة (2030)، وبما يحقق التنمية المُستدامة للموارد المائية، وتوفير خدمات ذات جودة وموثوقية عالية، تعلن شركة نقل المياه (بصفتها المطور الرئيس لمشاريع أنظمة نقل المياه بالشراكة مع القطاع الخاص) طرح منافستي التصميم والشراء والتنفيذ (EPC) لمقاولي الهندسة والتوريد والإنشاء لمشروع نظام نقل مياه رأس محيسن - الباحة - مكة المكرمة المستقل، الذي يستهدف إمداد محافظات مكة المكرمة والباحة بالمياه المحلاة. وذلك بسعة نقل تصميمية لضخ المياه تبلغ (542) ألف متر مكعب يومياً، وبإجمالي أطوال أنابيب (325) كيلومتراً تقريبا شاملة (4) محطات ضخ ولمشروع نظام نقل مياه الجبيل - بريدة المستقل (المرحلة الثانية)، الذي يستهدف إمداد مدن ومحافظات منطقة القصيم بالمياه المحلاة. وذلك بسعة نقل تصميمية لضخ المياه تبلغ (840) ألف متر مكعب يومياً، وبإجمالي أطوال أنابيب (348) كيلومتراً تقريباً شاملة محطة ضخ واحدة.
يذكر أن شركة نقل المياه هي شركة مملوكة لحكومة المملكة العربية السعودية، تأسست بِموجب قرار مجلس الوزراء رقم 32 في سبتمبر 2019، وتعمل على أسس تجارية لتقديم خدمات نقل المياه والخزن الاستراتيجي، ومرخصة من الهيئة السعودية للمياه لتقديم خدمة نقل المياه المحلاة والمنقاة، وتقديم خدمة الخزن الاستراتيجي عبر سبع منظومات، متضمنة تخطيط وتطوير وتصميم وتشغيل تلك الأنظمة حول المملكة.
In line with the objectives of the National Water Strategy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve the targets of the Kingdom's Vision (2030), and to ensure the sustainable development of water resources, and to provide high-quality and reliable services, the Water Transport Company (as the main developer of water transport system projects in partnership with the private sector) announces the launch of two tenders for design, procurement, and construction (EPC) for engineering, procurement, and construction contractors for the independent Ras Muhaysin - Al Bahah - Makkah water transport system project, which aims to supply the Makkah and Al Bahah regions with desalinated water. This has a designed pumping capacity of (542) thousand cubic meters per day, with a total pipeline length of approximately (325) kilometers, including (4) pumping stations, and for the independent Jubail - Buraidah water transport system project (Phase Two), which aims to supply cities and governorates in the Qassim region with desalinated water. This has a designed pumping capacity of (840) thousand cubic meters per day, with a total pipeline length of approximately (348) kilometers, including one pumping station.
It is worth mentioning that the Water Transport Company is a government-owned company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, established by Cabinet Resolution No. 32 in September 2019, and operates on a commercial basis to provide water transport and strategic storage services. It is licensed by the Saudi Water Authority to provide desalinated and purified water transport services, and to offer strategic storage services through seven systems, including the planning, development, design, and operation of those systems across the Kingdom.
