اختتمت أعمال اجتماع اللجنة الفنية السعودية - المصرية للنقل البحري والموانئ، التي استهدفت تعزيز التعاون الثنائي في النقل البحري، ومتابعة تنفيذ مذكرة تفاهم الربط البحري لنقل الركاب في خليج العقبة.
وتناول الاجتماع بحث التحديات التي تواجه الملاحة في البحر الأحمر، واستعراض سبل تطوير إجراءات رقابة دولة الميناء على السفن، ما يسهم في رفع كفاءة السلامة البحرية وتعزيز الامتثال الدولي.
واتفق الجانبان على تشكيل فريق عمل مشترك لحصر التحديات التي تواجه الملاحة في البحر الأحمر واقتراح الحلول المناسبة لها، إضافة إلى تشكيل فريق آخر لمتابعة تنفيذ الاتفاقيات والمذكرات الموقعة بين الجانبين.
وفي ختام أعمال الاجتماع، أُعلن انضمام الجانب المصري لمذكرة تفاهم الرياض للتفتيش والرقابة على السفن، في خطوة من شأنها توحيد الجهود الإقليمية، ودعم استدامة النقل البحري وتعزيز تنافسيته.
شارك في الاجتماع عدد من الجهات المعنية بين البلدين، ومثل المملكة كل من الهيئة العامة للموانئ، وحرس الحدود، ونيوم، والأكاديمية الوطنية البحرية، فيما شارك من الجانب المصري وزارة النقل، وهيئة النقل البحري، وهيئة موانئ البحر الأحمر، والهيئة المصرية لسلامة الملاحة البحرية، إلى جانب عدد من الجهات الأخرى ذات العلاقة.

The works of the Saudi-Egyptian Technical Committee Meeting on Maritime Transport and Ports concluded, aiming to enhance bilateral cooperation in maritime transport and to follow up on the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding for maritime connectivity for passenger transport in the Gulf of Aqaba.
The meeting discussed the challenges facing navigation in the Red Sea and reviewed ways to develop port state control procedures for ships, which contributes to improving maritime safety and enhancing international compliance.
The two sides agreed to form a joint working group to identify the challenges facing navigation in the Red Sea and propose appropriate solutions, in addition to forming another team to follow up on the implementation of the agreements and memoranda signed between the two sides.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Egyptian side announced its accession to the Riyadh Memorandum of Understanding for the inspection and control of ships, a step that would unify regional efforts, support the sustainability of maritime transport, and enhance its competitiveness.
Several relevant authorities from both countries participated in the meeting, with the Kingdom represented by the General Authority for Ports, the Border Guard, NEOM, and the National Maritime Academy, while the Egyptian side was represented by the Ministry of Transport, the Maritime Transport Authority, the Red Sea Ports Authority, and the Egyptian Authority for Maritime Safety, along with several other relevant entities.
