تشهد الكرة الأرضية غدا (الأحد)، حدوث آخر خسوف للقمر في 2025، إذ سيحدث خسوف القمر الكلي في سماء المملكة وأنحاء الوطن العربي وغالبية دول العالم.
وسيكون خسوف القمر الكلي مرئيا بالعين المجردة في المملكة والدول العربية، إضافة إلى معظم مناطق آسيا وأستراليا، وكذلك الأجزاء الوسطى والشرقية من أوروبا وأفريقيا.
وستكون مدة الخسوف من البداية إلى النهاية حوالى 5 ساعات و27 دقيقة، وستكون مدة مرحلتي الخسوف الجزئي والكلي معا 3 ساعات و29 دقيقة، في حين تستغرق مرحلة الخسوف الكلي وحدها 82 دقيقة وهي مدة طويلة نسبيا، وفقا لما أوضحته الجمعية الفلكية بجدة، وتعد الأطول من نوعها منذ 2018.
ستكون مراحل الخسوف متزامنة في جميع مناطق المملكة، إذ يبدأ القمر بالدخول إلى منطقة الظل الخارجي للأرض (شبه الظل) عند الساعة 6:28 مساء ويبدأ ضوؤه بالخفوت لكن تصعب ملاحظة ذلك بالعين المجردة، ثم يبدأ الخسوف الجزئي عند الساعة 7:27 مساء إذ يبدأ القمر بالدخول في منطقة الظل الداخلي للأرض (الظل) ويفقد ضوءه تدريجيا، وعند الساعة 8:30 مساء يبدأ الخسوف الكلي إذ يصبح القمر داخل منطقة الظل بالكامل.
من جهته، وجّه وزير الشؤون الإسلامية والدعوة والإرشاد الشيخ الدكتور عبداللطيف آل الشيخ، أصحاب الفضيلة أئمة المساجد والجوامع في مختلف مناطق المملكة، بإقامة صلاة الخسوف عند مشاهدة خسوف القمر.
The Earth will witness tomorrow (Sunday) the last lunar eclipse of 2025, as a total lunar eclipse will occur in the skies of the Kingdom and across the Arab world and the majority of countries worldwide.
The total lunar eclipse will be visible to the naked eye in the Kingdom and Arab countries, as well as in most regions of Asia and Australia, and also in the central and eastern parts of Europe and Africa.
The duration of the eclipse from beginning to end will be approximately 5 hours and 27 minutes, with the total and partial eclipse phases lasting together for 3 hours and 29 minutes, while the total eclipse phase alone will last for 82 minutes, which is relatively long, according to what the Astronomical Society in Jeddah has explained, and it is the longest of its kind since 2018.
The phases of the eclipse will be synchronized across all regions of the Kingdom, as the moon begins to enter the outer shadow of the Earth (penumbra) at 6:28 PM, and its light will start to fade, although it will be difficult to notice this with the naked eye. Then, the partial eclipse will begin at 7:27 PM as the moon starts to enter the inner shadow of the Earth (umbra) and gradually loses its light. At 8:30 PM, the total eclipse will begin as the moon becomes completely within the shadow.
For his part, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif Al Sheikh, has directed the honorable imams of mosques and congregational prayers in various regions of the Kingdom to perform the prayer for the eclipse upon witnessing the lunar eclipse.
