أعربت الأمانة العامة لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي عن تضامنها التام مع حكومة جمهورية السودان وشعبه إثر حادث الانزلاق الأرضي المأساوي في قرية تراسين بولاية شمال دارفور، الذي خلّف حصيلة كبيرة من الضحايا، سائلة المولى -عز وجل- أن يرحمهم ويسكنهم فسيح جناته، متمنية الشفاء العاجل للمصابين.
وعبرت عن أملها في تجاوز السودان هذه المحنة الإنسانية، وناشدت الدول الأعضاء والمنظمات الإنسانية العمل على إيصال المساعدات الإنسانية الطارئة بسرعة وفعالية إلى المحتاجين في المنطقة.
The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed its full solidarity with the Government of the Republic of Sudan and its people following the tragic landslide incident in the village of Trasin in North Darfur State, which resulted in a significant number of casualties. It prayed to the Almighty - may He be exalted - to have mercy on them and grant them a place in His vast paradise, wishing for a speedy recovery for the injured.
It expressed hope that Sudan would overcome this humanitarian ordeal and urged member states and humanitarian organizations to work on delivering emergency humanitarian assistance quickly and effectively to those in need in the region.
