أكد سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين سابقاً في لبنان الدكتور علي بن عواض عسيري، أن المملكة تتبنى سياسة دبلوماسية متوازنة، وتهدف إلى تحقيق الاستقرار الإقليمي والدولي وتنمية العلاقات مع الدول الكبرى والمؤثرة، والشركاء الاستراتيجيين فيما انعكست هذه السياسية بشكل كبير في الإعلام الخارجي، إذ تلعب المملكة دوراً كبيراً إيجابياً في توجيه رسائلها، ومن أهم محاور التجربة الدبلوماسية السعودية هي أربعة محاور: القيادة في العالم العربي والإسلامي، والسياسة الخارجية المتوازنة، والتوجهات الاقتصادية، ودور المملكة في التحالفات العسكرية.
جاء ذلك خلال اللقاء الذي استضافه فرع هيئة الصحفيين في منطقة عسير بالتعاون مع غرفه أبها، وقدمه الإعلامي عبدالله عبيد، في لقاء بعنوان «الدبلوماسية والإعلام بين التأثير والتكامل»، الذي أُقيم على مسرح غرفة أبها بحضور عدد كبير من الأكاديميين ومسؤولي الغرفة والإعلاميين والمهتمين.
وقد اشتملت محاور اللقاء الذي استمر ساعةً ونصف الساعة، على الدبلوماسية والإعلام: تكامل الأدوار وتصادم المصالح، والتجربة الدبلوماسية السعودية: كيف انعكست في الإعلام الخارجي؟، والتحديات الإعلامية أمام العمل الدبلوماسي، ومسؤولية بناء الصورة الذهنية للمملكة بين الإعلاميين والدبلوماسيين، وقصص وتجارب عملية من حياة السفير في التعامل مع الإعلام، فيما كانت الفئات المستهدفة من اللقاء الإعلاميين والصحفيين، وطلاب الإعلام والعلاقات الدولية، وأعضاء الجمعيات والهيئات الإعلامية، والمهتمين بالشأن الدبلوماسي والسياسي، والأكاديميين والباحثين في الإعلام والسياسة.
وفي نهاية اللقاء طرح عدد من الحضور أسئلة عدة، أجاب عنها السفير عسيري، مؤكداً أنّ كل سعودي يعتبر دبلوماسيّاً عند وجوده خارج الوطن، وأنه يوجد بين الإعلامي والدبلوماسي مساحة كبيرة مشتركة، وأن الإعلام يحتاج إلى لغة دبلوماسية هادئة، بينما الدبلوماسية تحتاج إلى منبر الإعلام المؤثر، فيما تم تكريم ضيف الجلسة، ثم التقطت صورة جماعية.
وأكد مدير فرع هيئة الصحفيين في عسير الدكتور عيسى المستنير، أن اللقاء في جلسته الحوارية كان مثرياً، واستطاع الضيف بإمكاناته الكبيرة واطلاعه الواسع في الدبلوماسية والإعلام أن يفيد الحضور من الجنسين، في شرح مفصل عن هاتين المفردتين والعلاقة بينهما، إضافة إلى ما قدمه من توجيهات عند تواجد أي مواطن خارج الوطن الغالي، فيما كان للحضور دور بارز في التفاعل، وطرح أسئلة عدة، وكان للجلسة الحوارية دور كبير في نجاح اللقاء.
The former ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Lebanon, Dr. Ali bin Awad Al-Asiri, confirmed that the Kingdom adopts a balanced diplomatic policy aimed at achieving regional and international stability and developing relations with major and influential countries, as well as strategic partners. This policy has been significantly reflected in foreign media, where the Kingdom plays a major positive role in conveying its messages. Among the key pillars of the Saudi diplomatic experience are four main areas: leadership in the Arab and Islamic world, balanced foreign policy, economic orientations, and the Kingdom's role in military alliances.
This was stated during a meeting hosted by the branch of the Journalists' Association in the Asir region in collaboration with the Abha Chamber, presented by media figure Abdullah Obaid, in a session titled "Diplomacy and Media: Between Influence and Integration," which took place at the Abha Chamber theater with a large attendance of academics, chamber officials, media personnel, and interested individuals.
The meeting, which lasted for an hour and a half, included discussions on diplomacy and media: the integration of roles and conflict of interests, the Saudi diplomatic experience: how it has been reflected in foreign media, media challenges facing diplomatic work, the responsibility of building the Kingdom's image among media personnel and diplomats, and practical stories and experiences from the ambassador's life in dealing with the media. The target audience for the meeting included media professionals, journalists, students of media and international relations, members of media associations and organizations, those interested in diplomatic and political affairs, as well as academics and researchers in media and politics.
At the end of the meeting, several attendees posed questions, which Ambassador Al-Asiri answered, affirming that every Saudi is considered a diplomat when outside the homeland, and that there is a significant common ground between the media and diplomacy. He noted that media requires a calm diplomatic language, while diplomacy needs an influential media platform. The guest of the session was then honored, followed by a group photo.
Dr. Issa Al-Mustanir, director of the Journalists' Association branch in Asir, confirmed that the dialogue session was enriching, and the guest, with his vast knowledge and expertise in diplomacy and media, was able to benefit attendees of both genders by providing a detailed explanation of these two concepts and their relationship, in addition to offering guidance for any citizen abroad. The attendees played a prominent role in interacting and asking several questions, and the dialogue session significantly contributed to the success of the meeting.
