الجمعية الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان تعقد ندوة بعنوان: «الحوكمة: مفتاح الاستدامة والشفافية»

The National Human Rights Association held a seminar titled: "Governance: The Key to Sustainability and Transparency," at the association's headquarters in Riyadh, with the participation of a number of experts and specialists, and the attendance of a select group of interested parties and representatives from relevant entities in the three sectors.

In his speech during the opening of the seminar, the President of the National Human Rights Association, Khalid bin Abdul Rahman Al-Fakhri, confirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing, thanks to Vision 2030, qualitative leaps and major transformations that have made governance, transparency, and sustainability fundamental pillars for the nation's renaissance and the elevation of its citizens. He pointed out that the Kingdom has become a global model in combining authenticity and modernity, economic growth and social empowerment, as well as protecting rights and establishing justice.

Al-Fakhri explained that governance is not merely organizational procedures, but rather a system of values and a civilizational practice that enhances accountability, transparency, and justice. He emphasized that the association seeks through this seminar to contribute to the consolidation of governance principles, enhance transparency and sustainability, thereby promoting human rights and achieving sustainable development.

The participants in the seminar addressed several topics, where the Assistant General Supervisor and former Executive Director of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Work, and the CEO of Jadara Consulting Company, Maher Al-Hadraoui, reviewed the role of governance in supporting the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 across the three sectors, along with presenting practical models of successful experiences in applying governance at both the institutional and national levels.

The CEO and founder of the Friends of Strategy Initiative and a participating member in the National Vision 2030 programs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Raziq, spoke about the importance of aligning governance practices with the strategic plans of institutions, designing sustainability strategies based on governance principles, in addition to identifying key performance indicators and integrating (ESG) standards within institutional frameworks.

Corporate governance expert and board secretary Faisal Al-Nufai reviewed the general framework of governance and the fundamental principles applied in the three sectors, while highlighting the main challenges facing the application of governance, mechanisms for enhancing transparency, and activating institutional oversight, in addition to the impacts of governance on institutions, society, the economy, and employees.

The seminar concluded with a number of recommendations emphasizing the importance of integrating efforts among various sectors to consolidate governance principles and enhance sustainability and transparency, in alignment with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
