دشّنت مدينة الملك سعود الطبية عضو تجمع الرياض الصحي الأول خدمة استبدال المفاصل الصناعية بتقنية الروبوت، بعد نجاح إجراء عمليتين نوعيتين. تمثلت الأولى في استبدال مفصل الركبة لمريضة ستينية كانت تعاني من خشونة متقدمة وآلام مزمنة أثرت على نشاطها اليومي، فيما شملت الثانية استبدال مفصل الحوض لفتاة عشرينية كانت تعاني من احتكاك وتشوه خلقي في مفصل الورك الأيسر، وأثّر ذلك بشكل كبير على حياتها اليومية.
وتُعد هذه الخدمة من أحدث التقنيات الطبية المتقدمة في مجال جراحة العظام، حيث تتيح إجراء عمليات استبدال الركبة الكاملة والجزئية، إضافة إلى عمليات استبدال مفصل الحوض الدقيقة التي تتطلب تخطيطاً عالياً يضمن دقة النتائج باستخدام تقنية الروبوت. وقد جرى تنفيذ هذه العمليات بنجاح، بمشاركة الدكتور ماجد شقير والدكتور إبراهيم السرحاني، وتحت إشراف رئيس وحدة المفاصل الدكتور طلال الشهري.
وأكدت مدينة الملك سعود الطبية أن إدخال هذه التقنية يُمثل نقلة نوعية في خدماتها الصحية، ويعكس حرصها على تسخير أحدث ما توصلت إليه التقنيات الطبية لخدمة المرضى والارتقاء بجودة حياتهم.
King Saud Medical City, a member of the Riyadh Health Cluster, has launched a service for replacing artificial joints using robotic technology, following the successful completion of two significant surgeries. The first involved replacing the knee joint of a female patient in her sixties who suffered from advanced osteoarthritis and chronic pain that affected her daily activities, while the second involved replacing the hip joint of a female patient in her twenties who experienced friction and a congenital deformity in her left hip joint, which significantly impacted her daily life.
This service is considered one of the latest advanced medical technologies in the field of orthopedic surgery, as it allows for both total and partial knee replacements, in addition to precise hip joint replacements that require high-level planning to ensure accurate results using robotic technology. These surgeries were successfully carried out with the participation of Dr. Majid Shaqir and Dr. Ibrahim Al-Sarhani, under the supervision of the head of the Joint Unit, Dr. Talal Al-Shahri.
King Saud Medical City confirmed that the introduction of this technology represents a qualitative leap in its healthcare services and reflects its commitment to utilizing the latest advancements in medical technology to serve patients and enhance their quality of life.
