قام المعلم سعود بن عبدالعزيز الشمري صباح اليوم (الأربعاء) بعمل بطولي، إذ تمكن من إطفاء حريق شب في عداد الكهرباء بمدرسة حذيفة بن اليمان بمدينة حائل، وأثناء محاولته السيطرة على النيران، تعرض للسقوط ما أدى إلى إصابته بكسر مضاعف في يده، استدعى نقله للمستشفى تمهيدا لإجراء عملية جراحية له.
وفي لفتة إنسانية قام مدير تعليم حائل بزيارة المعلم المصاب في المستشفى، مطمئنا على حالته الصحية، ومشيدا بموقفه الشجاع وتضحيته التي جنّبت المدرسة ومنسوبيها خطرا محققا.
وأكدت الأسرة التعليمية والتربويّة أن ما قام به الشمري يعكس روح المسؤولية والتفاني التي يتحلى بها المعلمون في حماية أبنائهم الطلاب والمجتمع المدرسي.
Teacher Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Shammari performed a heroic act this morning (Wednesday) by managing to extinguish a fire that broke out in the electricity meter at Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman School in Hail City. During his attempt to control the flames, he fell, resulting in a compound fracture in his hand, which necessitated his transfer to the hospital in preparation for surgery.
In a humanitarian gesture, the Director of Education in Hail visited the injured teacher in the hospital, reassuring him about his health condition and praising his courageous stance and sacrifice that spared the school and its staff from a real danger.
The educational and teaching community affirmed that what Al-Shammari did reflects the spirit of responsibility and dedication that teachers possess in protecting their students and the school community.
