استقبل أمير المنطقة الشرقية الأمير سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز، بحضور نائب أمير المنطقة سعود بن بندر بن عبدالعزيز، بديوان الإمارة، المشرف العام على فرع وزارة الطاقة بالقطاع الشرقي سعد عبدالرزاق الخزيم، يرافقه منسوبو الفرع، وعدد من مسؤولي الشركة السعودية للكهرباء.
واطّلع أمير المنطقة الشرقية خلال اللقاء على المشاريع والمبادرات الهادفة إلى رفع كفاءة وقدرة محطات الإنتاج والتحويل وشبكات التوزيع، مشيداً بما يشهده قطاع الطاقة من نمو وتطور وتحسن في مستوى الكفاءة، بفضل الله ثم بفضل الدعم اللامحدود من القيادة وما يحظى به القطاع من اهتمام ورعاية لتطوير الخدمات ورفع مستوى جودتها.
وثمّن جهود وزارة الطاقة وقطاع الكهرباء في المنطقة، مؤكداً أن الاستعداد الجيد والبنية التحتية المتكاملة أسهما في تنفيذ المشاريع العملاقة التي ارتقت بجودة الخدمات، وحققا استقراراً في تدفقات الطاقة، مشيراً إلى أن هذه الجهود انعكست في ندرة انقطاعات التيار الكهربائي بالمنطقة الشرقية، رغم زيادة الاستهلاك نتيجة الأجواء الحارة التي تشهدها المنطقة حالياً.
من جانبه، أوضح الخزيم أن وزارة الطاقة تعمل على تعزيز ريادة المملكة عالمياً في مجال الطاقة من خلال تطوير السياسات والبرامج والخطط التنموية عالية الكفاءة، والحفاظ على الثروة الوطنية للأجيال القادمة، مستعرضاً أبرز الجهود والمشاريع التنموية في قطاع الكهرباء بالمنطقة، مسلطاً الضوء على المشاريع التي تعزز أمن الطاقة على مستوى المملكة، خصوصاً المنطقة الشرقية، وتدعم التحول نحو مصادر أكثر استدامة، بالتعاون مع الهيئة السعودية لتنظيم الكهرباء، والمركز السعودي لكفاءة الطاقة، إضافة إلى الشركة السعودية للكهرباء.
وقدم الخزيم الشكر والامتنان لأمير المنطقة الشرقية على دعمه وتوجيهاته المستمرة، مؤكداً حرص الوزارة على نشر الوعي بجهود منظومة الطاقة، واستعراض المبادرات والتشريعات التي تخدم الوطن والمواطن وتحقق الأهداف المنشودة.
من جانبه، قدم المشرف على قطاع الكهرباء بوزارة الطاقة المهندس يوسف آل زاحم عرضاً عن أعمال منظومة الكهرباء والمشاريع التنموية، وأبرز المبادرات والمشاريع بالمنطقة الشرقية.
The Prince of the Eastern Province, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, received the General Supervisor of the Ministry of Energy branch in the Eastern Sector, Saad Abdulrazak Al-Khuzayem, accompanied by branch staff and a number of officials from the Saudi Electricity Company, in the presence of the Deputy Prince of the Eastern Province, Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, at the Emirate's Diwan.
During the meeting, the Prince of the Eastern Province was briefed on the projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and capacity of production and conversion stations and distribution networks. He praised the growth, development, and improvement in the level of efficiency witnessed in the energy sector, thanks to God and the unlimited support from the leadership, as well as the attention and care given to the sector to develop services and raise their quality.
He appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Energy and the electricity sector in the region, affirming that good preparedness and integrated infrastructure contributed to the implementation of giant projects that elevated the quality of services and achieved stability in energy flows. He noted that these efforts have reflected in the rarity of power outages in the Eastern Province, despite the increased consumption due to the hot weather currently experienced in the region.
For his part, Al-Khuzayem explained that the Ministry of Energy is working to enhance the Kingdom's global leadership in the field of energy by developing high-efficiency policies, programs, and development plans, while preserving the national wealth for future generations. He reviewed the most significant efforts and development projects in the electricity sector in the region, highlighting projects that enhance energy security at the national level, especially in the Eastern Province, and support the transition to more sustainable sources, in cooperation with the Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority and the Saudi Center for Energy Efficiency, in addition to the Saudi Electricity Company.
Al-Khuzayem expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Prince of the Eastern Province for his continuous support and guidance, affirming the ministry's commitment to raising awareness of the energy system's efforts and showcasing the initiatives and legislation that serve the nation and the citizens and achieve the desired goals.
For his part, the supervisor of the electricity sector at the Ministry of Energy, Engineer Yusuf Al-Zahim, presented an overview of the electricity system's operations and development projects, as well as the most prominent initiatives and projects in the Eastern Province.
