تحت رعاية خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ونيابة عنه، يفتتح وزير الدفاع نائب رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة العامة للصناعات العسكرية الأمير خالد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، النسخة الثالثة من معرض الدفاع العالمي، الذي يُعد الحدث العالمي الرائد في مجالات الأمن والدفاع وتُنظّمه الهيئة خلال الفترة من 8 إلى 12 فبراير 2026 في الرياض.
وتُجسد الرعاية الكريمة للمعرض رؤية القيادة الحكيمة لتنظيم معرض عالمي متخصص يرتقي إلى مصاف أفضل معارض الدفاع والأمن والصناعات العسكرية في العالم، إذ يحظى بدعم تكاملي من جميع الوزارات والهيئات والشركات ذات الصلة، وتشارك فيه الجهات الإستراتيجية من القطاعين العام والخاص بالمملكة.
وبهذه المناسبة، رفع محافظ الهيئة العامة للصناعات العسكرية المهندس أحمد بن عبدالعزيز العوهلي، الشكر والتقدير لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، ولولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة العامة للصناعات العسكرية الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، على الرعاية الكريمة والدعم غير المحدود الذي يحظى به القطاع لتعزيز استقلالية المملكة الإستراتيجية، ودعم مساعي تمكين الشركات الوطنية وتعزيز قدرتها التنافسية على الساحة الدولية؛ بما يعزّز مسيرة توطين قطاع الصناعة العسكرية الوطنية، ويحقّق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030 من هذا القطاع الواعد، بتوطين ما يزيد على 50% من إنفاق المملكة على المعدات والخدمات العسكرية بحلول عام 2030.
وأكّد المهندس العوهلي أهمية المعرض في تعزيز الشراكات الإستراتيجية، واستعراض أحدث التقنيات والابتكارات الدفاعية، وإبراز المنتجات والقدرات المتنامية للمملكة في هذا القطاع الحيوي؛ كونه منصةً عالميةً للخبراء والمُصنّعين وصنّاع القرار في مجال الأمن والدفاع.
وبين أن النسخة الثالثة ستكون امتداداً لما تحقق من نجاحات ومنجزات شهدتها النسختان الأولى والثانية من المعرض اللتان نظمتا في العامين 2022م و2024م، مشيراً إلى أن المعرض سيمثل أداة إستراتيجية تدعم مساعي الوطن نحو تحقيق مستهدفات التوطين، كما سيقدم بيئة مثالية للتواصل والتفاعل بين الحاضرين؛ بهدف تعزيز الشراكات الدولية في مجالات الصناعات العسكرية.
ولفت المهندس العوهلي، إلى أن المعرض سيكون منصّة مثالية لتمكين القطاع، والتكامل لتعزيز الاستثمار، وعقد الشراكات النوعية بين كل المصنعين ومزوّدي الخدمات الدوليين الذين يشاركون في تحقيق رؤية المملكة من خلال دعم نقل التقنية وتطوير الكفاءات وتوطين الصناعة.
من جهته، أوضح الرئيس التنفيذي لمعرض الدفاع العالمي أندرو بيرسي، أن الأولوية خلال النسخة الثالثة من المعرض هي تسليط الضوء على مستقبل التكامل الدفاعي، مؤكداً حرص المعرض على تقديم برامج مصممة لتطوير وتحسين التواصل بين المشاركين والعارضين، والحكومات وسلاسل التوريد والمستثمرين.
ولفت إلى زيادة مساحة المعرض بواقع 58% عن النسخة الأولى نتيجة للإقبال الكبير على المشاركة من المصنعين المحليين والشركات العالمية، بعد النجاح الذي تحقق خلال النسختين الأولى والثانية.
ويعتزم المعرض في نسخته الثالثة توفير قاعة عرض رابعة إضافة إلى القاعات الثلاث الرئيسة، التي صممت وفق أعلى المعايير بما يجعل المعرض المنصة الأفضل لبناء جسور التعاون والشراكة داخل القطاع.
يُذكر أن النسخة الثانية من معرض الدفاع العالمي، شهدت توقيع عقود شراء عسكرية ودفاعية بين جهات محلية ودولية بقيمة إجمالية تقدر بـ 26 مليار ريال وسط مشاركة كبيرة بلغت 773 جهة عارضة من 76 دولة مشاركة، وحضور أكثر من 441 وفداً دوليّاً رسميّاً وأكثر من 106 آلاف زائر.
Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and on his behalf, the Minister of Defense and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Military Industries, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, will inaugurate the third edition of the World Defense Exhibition, which is considered the leading global event in the fields of security and defense, organized by the authority from February 8 to 12, 2026, in Riyadh.
This generous sponsorship of the exhibition embodies the vision of the wise leadership to organize a specialized global exhibition that ranks among the best defense, security, and military industries exhibitions in the world, as it enjoys integrated support from all relevant ministries, authorities, and companies, with participation from strategic entities from both the public and private sectors in the Kingdom.
On this occasion, the Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries, Engineer Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohaile, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Military Industries, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for the generous sponsorship and unlimited support that the sector receives to enhance the Kingdom's strategic independence and support efforts to empower national companies and enhance their competitiveness on the international stage; thereby promoting the localization of the national military industry sector and achieving the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 for this promising sector, aiming to localize more than 50% of the Kingdom's spending on military equipment and services by 2030.
Engineer Al-Ohaile emphasized the importance of the exhibition in enhancing strategic partnerships, showcasing the latest defense technologies and innovations, and highlighting the growing products and capabilities of the Kingdom in this vital sector; as it serves as a global platform for experts, manufacturers, and decision-makers in the field of security and defense.
He indicated that the third edition will be an extension of the successes and achievements witnessed in the first and second editions of the exhibition, which were held in 2022 and 2024, respectively, noting that the exhibition will represent a strategic tool supporting the nation's efforts to achieve localization targets, and will provide an ideal environment for communication and interaction among attendees; aimed at enhancing international partnerships in the fields of military industries.
Engineer Al-Ohaile pointed out that the exhibition will be an ideal platform for empowering the sector, integrating efforts to enhance investment, and establishing qualitative partnerships between all manufacturers and international service providers participating in achieving the Kingdom's vision through supporting technology transfer, developing competencies, and localizing industry.
For his part, the CEO of the World Defense Exhibition, Andrew Percy, stated that the priority during the third edition of the exhibition is to highlight the future of defense integration, emphasizing the exhibition's commitment to providing programs designed to develop and improve communication between participants, exhibitors, governments, supply chains, and investors.
He noted that the exhibition space has increased by 58% compared to the first edition due to the significant interest in participation from local manufacturers and global companies, following the success achieved during the first and second editions.
The exhibition in its third edition intends to provide a fourth exhibition hall in addition to the three main halls, which have been designed according to the highest standards, making the exhibition the best platform for building bridges of cooperation and partnership within the sector.
It is worth mentioning that the second edition of the World Defense Exhibition witnessed the signing of military and defense purchase contracts between local and international entities with a total value estimated at 26 billion riyals, amidst significant participation of 773 exhibiting entities from 76 participating countries, and the presence of more than 441 official international delegations and over 106,000 visitors.
