حقق الشاب السعودي رشيد الحويطي، إنجازاً لافتاً بعدما قاد سيارته الكلاسيكية من نوع مرسيدس موديل 1929، في رحلة طويلة امتدت لشهر كامل، انطلقت من مدينة تبوك شمال المملكة وصولاً إلى إمارة دبي بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
وانطلقت مغامرة الحويطي من تبوك، مروراً بعدد من المدن السعودية أبرزها حائل والرياض والأحساء، قبل أن يعبر الحدود متجهاً إلى دبي. وخلال هذه الرحلة التي غطت آلاف الكيلومترات، واجه العديد من التحديات أبرزها التعامل مع الأعطال الطارئة للسيارة القديمة، إضافة إلى الظروف المناخية القاسية في فصل الصيف.
ورغم تلك الصعوبات، حرص الحويطي على إكمال رحلته التي وصفها بأنها مغامرة؛ فهي لم تقتصر على قياس قدرة السيارة الكلاسيكية على اجتياز المسافات الطويلة، بل كانت أيضاً اختباراً لإصراره وشغفه بهذا النوع من السيارات، التي يرى أنها تمثل جزءاً من تاريخ الصناعة العالمية.

السيارة التي يعود تاريخ تصنيعها إلى نحو قرن من الزمان ما زالت تحتفظ بأصالتها الميكانيكية ومظهرها الكلاسيكي الجذاب، الأمر الذي جعلها محط إعجاب المارة في مختلف المدن، حيث توقف كثيرون لالتقاط الصور وتبادل الأحاديث مع الحويطي حول تاريخ هذه المركبة النادرة، في مشهد يعكس شغف المجتمع بالسيارات التراثية.

The young Saudi Rashid Al-Huwaiti achieved a remarkable accomplishment by driving his classic 1929 Mercedes car on a long journey that lasted an entire month, starting from the city of Tabuk in the north of the Kingdom and reaching the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Al-Huwaiti's adventure began in Tabuk, passing through several Saudi cities, most notably Hail, Riyadh, and Al-Ahsa, before crossing the border towards Dubai. During this journey, which covered thousands of kilometers, he faced many challenges, the most notable being dealing with unexpected breakdowns of the old car, in addition to the harsh weather conditions in the summer.
Despite these difficulties, Al-Huwaiti was determined to complete his journey, which he described as an adventure; it was not only a test of the classic car's ability to cover long distances but also a test of his determination and passion for this type of vehicle, which he believes represents a part of the history of global industry.

The car, which dates back nearly a century, still retains its mechanical authenticity and attractive classic appearance, making it a point of admiration for passersby in various cities, where many stopped to take pictures and exchange conversations with Al-Huwaiti about the history of this rare vehicle, in a scene that reflects the community's passion for heritage cars.
Al-Huwaiti's journey received widespread interaction on social media platforms, where people praised his determination to take on an unusual challenge with a car that is about 96 years old.
