كشف التقويم الدراسي لمكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة وجدة والطائف تأخير بداية الدراسة في العام الجديد 1447 / 1448هـ أسبوعاً، لتكون 8 ربيع الأول 1447 الموافق 31 أغسطس 2025، بدلاً من 1 ربيع الأول الموافق 24 أغسطس في بقية المناطق.
وأما في الأعوام الثلاثة التالية فسيكون هناك اختلاف في بداية العام الدراسي بحيث تمتد الإجازة الصيفية أسبوعاً، إذ ستكون بداية العام 2026 / 2027 م الموافق 1448 / 1449هـ يوم 30 أغسطس 2026 الموافق 17 ربيع الأول 1448هـ بدلاً من 22 أغسطس، فيما ستكون نهاية العام الدراسي يوم 1 يوليو 2027 الموافق 26 المحرم 1449هـ.
وتنطلق الدراسة للعام الدراسي 2027 / 2028م الموافق 1449 / 1450هـ في 27 ربيع الأول الموافق 29 أغسطس بدلاً من 22 أغسطس على أن تنتهي في 6 صفر الموافق 29 يونيو.
فيما تبدأ الدراسة للعام الدراسي 2028 / 2029م الموافق 1451 / 1452هـ بتاريخ 6 ربيع الآخر الموافق 27 أغسطس 2028 بدلاً من 22 أغسطس، على أن تنتهي في 23 صفر الموافق 5 يوليو 2029.
ويُضاف إلى ذلك أن إجازة عيد الأضحى في هذه المدن تبدأ مبكراً مقارنة ببقية المناطق، إذ تبدأ في 28 ذي القعدة 1447هـ الموافق 15 مايو 2026م، بينما تبدأ في باقي المناطق في 5 ذي الحجة 1447هـ الموافق 22 مايو 2026م، مع الاتفاق في موعد نهاية الإجازة بتاريخ 15 ذي الحجة الموافق 1 يونيو 2026م.
وكانت وزارة التعليم قد أعلنت اعتماد التقويم الدراسي للأعوام الأربعة المقبلة (1447 / 1448 / 1449 / 1450هـ) (2025 / 2026 / 2027 / 2028م)، وذلك بعد موافقة مجلس الوزراء على العودة إلى نظام الفصلين الدراسيين في مدارس التعليم العام، مع الحفاظ على الإطار الزمني الموحد للأعوام الأربعة المقبلة، لضمان استقرار العملية التعليمية وجودتها.
The academic calendar for Mecca, Medina, Jeddah, and Taif reveals a delay in the start of the new academic year 1447 / 1448 AH by one week, making it 8 Rabi' al-Awwal 1447, corresponding to August 31, 2025, instead of 1 Rabi' al-Awwal, corresponding to August 24 in other regions.
As for the following three years, there will be a difference in the start of the academic year, extending the summer vacation by one week. The start of the year 2026 / 2027 AD, corresponding to 1448 / 1449 AH, will be on August 30, 2026, corresponding to 17 Rabi' al-Awwal 1448 AH, instead of August 22, while the end of the academic year will be on July 1, 2027, corresponding to 26 Muharram 1449 AH.
The academic year 2027 / 2028 AD, corresponding to 1449 / 1450 AH, will commence on 27 Rabi' al-Awwal, corresponding to August 29, instead of August 22, and will end on 6 Safar, corresponding to June 29.
Meanwhile, the academic year 2028 / 2029 AD, corresponding to 1451 / 1452 AH, will begin on 6 Rabi' al-Thani, corresponding to August 27, 2028, instead of August 22, and will conclude on 23 Safar, corresponding to July 5, 2029.
Additionally, the Eid al-Adha holiday in these cities starts earlier compared to other regions, beginning on 28 Dhu al-Qi'dah 1447 AH, corresponding to May 15, 2026 AD, while it starts in other regions on 5 Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH, corresponding to May 22, 2026 AD, with a unified end date for the holiday on 15 Dhu al-Hijjah, corresponding to June 1, 2026 AD.
The Ministry of Education had announced the approval of the academic calendar for the next four years (1447 / 1448 / 1449 / 1450 AH) (2025 / 2026 / 2027 / 2028 AD), following the Cabinet's approval to return to the two-semester system in public education schools, while maintaining a unified timeline for the next four years to ensure the stability and quality of the educational process.
