وزير الصحة يتفقد مشاريع «طبية الملك سلمان» في المدينة المنورة

The Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Health Holding Company, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, inspected a number of qualitative health projects at King Salman Medical City, which were implemented by the Medina Health Cluster as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of healthcare and facilitate access for citizens, residents, and visitors to the region, in line with the objectives of the health sector transformation program, one of the programs of Saudi Vision 2030.

Among the projects that the Minister of Health inspected yesterday was the Advanced or Embedded Placenta Treatment Center at King Salman bin Abdulaziz Medical City, which is part of the Women's Health pathway - one of the pathways of the Saudi healthcare model - to assist in performing cesarean operations within the interventional radiology department, in addition to uterine artery embolization services aimed at reducing potential complications and increasing safety rates for mothers and newborns, extending the safe delivery system, one of the systems of the Saudi healthcare model.

Al-Jalajel reviewed the project to develop the emergency departments at the main hospital and the maternity and children's hospital at King Salman Medical City, which included increasing the bed capacity to (101) beds, along with establishing a rapid triage area with a capacity of (12) beds, activating the case management system within the departments, and expanding waiting areas to enhance the patient experience and improve departmental readiness.

He visited the interventional radiology center at the medical city after its expansion by (200%), with the addition of two modern devices aimed at improving diagnostic efficiency and accuracy, enhancing treatment outcomes, and reducing surgical interventions. He also inaugurated the modern fluoroscopy device, which is considered one of the most prominent precise diagnostic technologies aimed at enhancing the efficiency of medical examinations and enabling medical staff to perform necessary interventions.

The Minister of Health observed the efforts made at the specialized diabetic foot treatment center, which provides comprehensive preventive and therapeutic services using advanced technologies aimed at improving quality of life and reducing complications. He also inspected the dialysis center at King Salman Medical City, implemented in collaboration with the Abdullah Al-Rajhi Charity Foundation, with a capacity of (10) beds equipped to the highest standards, including an isolation room, a respiratory room, and dialysis machines.

As part of enhancing the readiness of air medical transport and rapid response, the Minister of Health listened to an explanation about the second phase of the air evacuation landing sites at the Medina Health Cluster hospitals, which include (7) landing sites distributed across the medical city, the holy mosque hospital, and hospitals in the provinces of (Wadi Al-Far'a, Yanbu Al-Nakhl, Al-Ais, Badr, and Al-Hosso) aimed at enhancing the speed of response in transporting critical cases, bringing the total number of landing sites under the Medina Health Cluster to (15) landing sites.

These projects come as an extension of the efforts of the Medina Health Cluster to enhance the efficiency and quality of medical services provided and to achieve the objectives of the health sector transformation program and Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to provide integrated and sustainable healthcare for all segments of society according to the highest global standards, reflecting positively on improving the health quality of life for residents and visitors.
