يشارك وفد جمعية الكشافة العربية السعودية في فعاليات اللقاء الكشفي العالمي السادس عشر للجوالة (Moot)، الذي تستضيفه حاليًّا جمهورية البرتغال، ويستمر حتى الثالث من أغسطس القادم، بمشاركة أكثر من 7,100 جوال يمثلون 118 جمعية كشفية من مختلف دول العالم.
وشهد فعاليات الافتتاح أمس، حضور عدد من القيادات الكشفية العالمية، وممثلي الجمعية البرتغالية، وبدأت بكلمات رئيسية، وعروض موسيقية وغنائية من التراث البرتغالي، عكست ثقافة البلد المضيف وتاريخه.
واستهل الوفد السعودي مشاركته بالمساهمة في برنامج «Paths»، الذي يتضمن رحلات استكشافية عبر عدد من المناطق البرتغالية، بهدف تعزيز التجربة الثقافية والمعرفية للمشاركين، إلى جانب المشاركة في عدد من الورش التدريبية التي تُعنى بتنمية المهارات الفردية والجماعية للجوالة.
ومن المقرر أن ينتقل الوفد خلال الأيام القادمة إلى المخيم الرئيسي في منطقة بوشاكينيو، قرب مدينة بورتو، إذ سيقضي خمسة أيام ضمن برنامج حافل بالأنشطة الثقافية والتقليدية التي تُبرز الموروث المحلي للبرتغال، وتعزز قيم التبادل والتنوع الثقافي.
وتأتي هذه المشاركة ضمن حرص الجمعية على تمكين الجوالة السعوديين من تمثيل المملكة في المحافل الدولية، وتعزيز حضورهم العالمي، وتطوير قدراتهم القيادية.

The delegation of the Saudi Arabian Scout Association is participating in the 16th World Rover Moot, currently hosted by the Republic of Portugal, which will continue until August 3rd, with the participation of more than 7,100 rovers representing 118 scouting associations from various countries around the world.
Yesterday's opening ceremony was attended by several global scouting leaders and representatives of the Portuguese association. It began with keynote speeches and musical and singing performances from Portuguese heritage, reflecting the culture and history of the host country.
The Saudi delegation started its participation by contributing to the "Paths" program, which includes exploratory trips through several Portuguese regions, aimed at enhancing the cultural and knowledge experience of the participants, in addition to participating in several training workshops focused on developing individual and group skills for the rovers.
The delegation is scheduled to move in the coming days to the main camp in the Pousada de Juventude area, near the city of Porto, where they will spend five days in a program filled with cultural and traditional activities that highlight Portugal's local heritage and promote values of exchange and cultural diversity.
This participation is part of the association's commitment to empower Saudi rovers to represent the Kingdom in international forums, enhance their global presence, and develop their leadership capabilities.
