يأتي تأكيد السعودية الواضح والصريح للإدارة الأمريكية يإدانة المملكة الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية على سورية وتدخلاتها في الشؤون الداخلية السورية، والتشديد على أهمية احترام استقلالها وسيادتها، وضرورة وقف الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية على أراضيها، وتضافر الجهود لدعم إجراءات الحكومة السورية لتحقيق الأمن وبسط سيادة القانون على كامل أراضيها، بما يحفظ وحدة سورية ويحقق سلمها الأهلي؛ ليبرهن الموقف السعودي الصلب إلى جانب سورية في هذه الظروف الصعبة التي تمر بها، والإصرار على أن تمضي للأمام في ترسيخ أمنها واستقرارها وبناء اقتصادها بما يتناسب مع تطلعات الشعب السوري، الذي يلتف حول قيادته لبناء دولة تتسع لجميع أطياف سورية التواقّة إلى خلق حالة من التوافق وبما يساعد على تحقيق البناء والنماء بعيداً عن الصراعات التي تغذيها قوى خارجية لا تريد الخير لسورية والسوريين.
وما يبعث على التفاؤل هو أن القيادة السورية المدعومة من السعودية في مختلف المجالات الأمنية والسياسية والاقتصادية، برهنت قدرتها على التعاطي مع كافة المتغيرات بما فيها أحداث السويداء؛ التي أثبتت سلك مسار الحكمة من خلال الحوار الذي أفضى إلى توافقات جنّبت المحافظة حالة من الاقتتال بين أبناء الشعب الواحد، وهي الخطوة التي لاقت ترحيباً دولياً واسعاً، بل وفضحت توجهات قوى خارجية كانت وما زالت تحاول جر سورية إلى مستنقع الاقتتال بين السوريين، وبما ينعكس على استقرار بلادهم وتفكيك وحدتهم التي هي مصدر قوتهم، والوقود الحقيقي لبناء مرحلة جديدة مظلتها البناء والتقدم والازدهار.
وأمام الدعم الذي تقوده السعودية للدولة السورية، فإن أمام الشعب السوري فرصة ليثبتوا من خلالها للعالم أنهم لم ولن يقبلوا التدخلات الخارجية، بل ويواجهونها بكل قوة حفاظاً على وطنهم، الذي هو في أمسِّ الحاجة لهم في هذه الظروف الصعبة التي يمر بها.
