اتفاقية تعاون بين «سلمان للإغاثة» و«إدارة الكوارث السورية» لمكافحة حرائق الغابات

In embodiment of the noble message of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in extending a helping hand to brotherly and friendly countries around the world, and within the framework of its well-known role, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center signed, yesterday, a joint cooperation agreement to provide the necessary supplies, equipment, and machinery to combat forest fires in the town of Kessab in the Latakia Governorate of the Syrian Arab Republic, in the presence of the Syrian Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, Raed Saleh.

According to the agreement, the efficiency of rapid and effective response to fires in the Latakia Governorate will be raised by providing technical and logistical support to field firefighting teams; to enhance the technical and logistical capabilities for combating fires.

Syrian Deputy Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, Ahmad Qaziz, emphasized the importance of the agreement at this critical time, indicating that enhancing civil defense capabilities is an urgent necessity with the onset of summer, which brings significant climatic challenges. He added that the agreement represents a strategic partnership between the center and the ministry, focusing on training personnel and providing equipment and machinery, which contributes to building a high level of preparedness to face fires in the short and medium term in Syria.
