أكد وزير الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات المهندس عبدالله بن عامر السواحة أن المملكة قدّمت مجموعة من المبادرات لمساعدة العالم على سد الفجوات في الحوسبة، والبيانات، والخوارزميات بما يساهم في خدمة الإنسانية.
جاء ذلك خلال كلمة المملكة التي ألقاها في احتفال الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات ITU في جنيف، بمناسبة مرور 160 عاماً على تأسيسه، بحضور قادة الدول وصناع القرار وشخصيات تقنية دولية.
ونوّه السواحة بأن العالم يقف على أعتاب مرحلة فارقة مع تسارع تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي، مشيراً إلى أن الفجوات في الحوسبة، والبيانات، والخوارزميات تستدعي استجابة جماعية وفورية.
لافتاً إلى التزام المملكة بمواصلة جهودها وبناء شراكات دولية لمعالجة فجوات الذكاء الاصطناعي، وتحقيق شمولية رقمية تشمل الجميع دون استثناء، مؤكداً أن السنوات القادمة ستكون حاسمة في تشكيل المستقبل، وأن التعاون هو السبيل الوحيد لتجنب فجوة جديدة بين المجتمعات والدول، لبناء عالم أكثر توازناً تسخر فيه التقنيات الحديثة لخدمة الإنسان وتعزيز التنمية الشاملة.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, confirmed that the Kingdom has launched a series of initiatives to help the world bridge the gaps in computing, data, and algorithms, contributing to serving humanity.
This was stated during the Kingdom's speech delivered at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) celebration in Geneva, marking the 160th anniversary of its establishment, in the presence of world leaders, decision-makers, and international tech figures.
Al-Swaha noted that the world stands on the brink of a pivotal phase with the acceleration of artificial intelligence technologies, pointing out that the gaps in computing, data, and algorithms require a collective and immediate response.
He emphasized the Kingdom's commitment to continuing its efforts and building international partnerships to address the gaps in artificial intelligence and achieve digital inclusivity for everyone without exception, affirming that the coming years will be crucial in shaping the future, and that cooperation is the only way to avoid a new gap between communities and countries, to build a more balanced world where modern technologies are harnessed to serve humanity and promote comprehensive development.
