منح منتدى القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات (WSIS 2025)، الهيئة السعودية للبيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي (سدايا)، شهادة تميز لتنظيمها أول نسخه عالمية من «الأولمبياد الدولي للذكاء الاصطناعي»، إذ تم اختياره مشروعا متميزا ضمن الفئة السابعة (E-Science)، خلال حفل توزيع جوائز القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات لعام 2025 (WSIS Prizes)، المقام على هامش أعمال قمة الذكاء الاصطناعي من أجل الخير (AI for Good Summit) خلال الفترة (8-11) يوليو 2025 في جنيف.
ويعكس هذا التكريم جهود «سدايا» في تعزيز الابتكار وتنمية القدرات الوطنية والدولية في مجالات الذكاء الاصطناعي، من خلال مبادرات نوعية تسهم في بناء جيل متمكن من المبدعين والمبتكرين، وإعداد قادة المستقبل في مجالات التقنية والبرمجة، إذ تُمثل المشاريع الفائزة بشهادة التميز 9% من مجمل المشاريع المتقدمة لجوائز القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات (WSIS) التي ينظمها الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات (ITU) سنويّا، بمشاركة مشاريع من أكثر من 194 دولة، ما يعكس حجم المنافسة.
ويُعد «الأولمبياد الدولي للذكاء الاصطناعي»، الذي نظّمت «سدايا» أول نسخة عالمية منه في الرياض، بالتعاون مع المركز الدولي لأبحاث وأخلاقيات الذكاء الاصطناعي (ICAIRE)، منصّة دولية للمسابقات في مجال الذكاء الاصطناعي، ومظلّة جمعت مشاركين من (25) دولة، توِّج خلالها (44) طالبا وطالبة من مختلف دول العالم، بعد خوضهم اختبارات علمية قدّموا خلالها حلولا مبتكرة لمشكلات علمية باستخدام تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي، وأسهمت منافسات الأولمبياد في تحفيز المشاركين على الدخول في مناقشات فاعلة لاستكشاف التطبيقات المتنوعة للذكاء الاصطناعي، وتعزيز تنظيم مسابقات الذكاء الاصطناعي لطلاب مدارس التعليم الثانوي وتحفيزهم على تصميم الخوارزميات الذكية وهيكلة البيانات والبرمجة.
ويجسّد هذا الإنجاز مكانة المملكة المتقدمة في تبنّي وتطوير تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي، بما ينسجم مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030، الرامية إلى بناء اقتصاد رقمي مبتكر ومستدام، وترسيخ ريادة المملكة كوجهة عالمية للابتكار في التقنيات المتقدمة.
The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS 2025) awarded the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) a certificate of excellence for organizing the first global edition of the "International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad." It was selected as an outstanding project in the seventh category (E-Science) during the WSIS Prizes 2025 awards ceremony, held on the sidelines of the AI for Good Summit from July 8-11, 2025, in Geneva.
This recognition reflects SDAIA's efforts to promote innovation and develop national and international capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence through qualitative initiatives that contribute to building a generation of empowered creators and innovators, and preparing future leaders in technology and programming. The projects awarded the certificate of excellence represent 9% of the total projects submitted for the WSIS Prizes, organized annually by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), with participation from projects across more than 194 countries, highlighting the level of competition.
The "International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad," for which SDAIA organized the first global edition in Riyadh in collaboration with the International Center for AI Research and Ethics (ICAIRE), serves as an international platform for competitions in the field of artificial intelligence. It brought together participants from 25 countries, where 44 students from various parts of the world were honored after undergoing scientific tests in which they presented innovative solutions to scientific problems using artificial intelligence techniques. The Olympiad competitions stimulated participants to engage in active discussions to explore the diverse applications of artificial intelligence and enhanced the organization of AI competitions for high school students, encouraging them to design smart algorithms, structure data, and program.
This achievement embodies the Kingdom's advanced position in adopting and developing artificial intelligence technologies, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to build an innovative and sustainable digital economy and establish the Kingdom as a global hub for innovation in advanced technologies.
