كشف التقرير السنوي لهيئة الاتصالات والفضاء والتقنية لعام 2024م، «إنترنت السعودية 2024» أن نحو 48.6% من مستخدمي الإنترنت في المملكة يقضون سبع ساعات فأكثر يوميًا في استخدام الإنترنت، مما يدل على النمو المستمر في الطلب على المحتوى الرقمي والخدمات الإلكترونية.
وأشار التقرير إلى أن ذروة الاستخدام خلال اليوم تكون ما بين 9 مساءً و11 مساءً، ويصل الاستخدام إلى أعلى مستوياته خلال مارس، ويُعد السبت الأكثر استخدامًا خلال الأسبوع.
وبيّن التقرير أن الإنترنت يُستخدم غالباً من المنزل بنسبة 87.9%، يليه الاستخدام أثناء التنقل بنسبة 79.3%، ثم أثناء العمل بنسبة 41.7%.
أما عن نوع الأجهزة المستخدمة، فجاء الهاتف المتنقل في الصدارة بنسبة 99.4%، يليه الحاسب الآلي بنسبة 50.7%، ثم الأجهزة اللوحية بنسبة 37.5%.
وفيما يخص أنظمة التشغيل، فإن نظام أندرويد استحوذ على 55% من استخدام الهواتف، مقابل 45% لنظام IOS، ونظام ويندوز يهيمن على أجهزة الحاسب الآلي بنسبة 91.1%، مقارنة بـ7.5% لأجهزة نظام ماكنتوش، و1.4% لنظام لينكس.
ويأتي هذا التقرير ليُظهر التحول الرقمي الذي تشهده المملكة، والدور الكبير الذي يقوم به الإنترنت في مختلف مجالات الحياة اليومية، سواء في العمل أو التعليم أو الترفيه.

The annual report of the Communications, Space, and Technology Authority for the year 2024, "Internet Saudi Arabia 2024," revealed that about 48.6% of internet users in the Kingdom spend seven hours or more daily using the internet, indicating the continuous growth in demand for digital content and electronic services.
The report noted that peak usage during the day occurs between 9 PM and 11 PM, with usage reaching its highest levels in March, and Saturday being the most used day of the week.
The report showed that the internet is most often used from home at a rate of 87.9%, followed by usage while commuting at 79.3%, and then during work at 41.7%.
As for the types of devices used, mobile phones topped the list at 99.4%, followed by computers at 50.7%, and then tablets at 37.5%.
Regarding operating systems, Android accounted for 55% of mobile phone usage, compared to 45% for iOS, while Windows dominates computers at 91.1%, compared to 7.5% for Macintosh systems and 1.4% for Linux.
