شارك النائب العام الشيخ سعود بن عبدالله المعجب في منتدى سانت بطرسبورغ الاقتصادي الدولي في روسيا الاتحادية، ضمن النسخة الثامنة والعشرين للمنتدى، المنعقد خلال الفترة من 18 إلى 21 يونيو الجاري.
وألقى المعجب كلمة استعرض فيها البيئة التشريعية في المملكة، التي تشهد تطوراً متسارعاً بهدف دعم ريادة الأعمال وتعزيز المناخ الاستثماري، من خلال تحديث الأنظمة القانونية وتطوير الإجراءات النظامية بما ينسجم مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
وبيّن أن النيابة العامة أنشأت عدداً من النيابات المتخصصة، من أبرزها نيابة الجرائم الاقتصادية ونيابة الاحتيال المالي، بهدف دعم البيئة الاستثمارية وتعزيز الثقة في النظام العدلي، مضيفاً أن هذه المبادرات تتماشى مع أفضل الممارسات الدولية، وتدعم الجهود المبذولة لتطوير أدوات التصرف القانوني والتعاون القضائي الدولي.
واختتم كلمته مشيراً إلى أن التفريط في العقوبات أو التشديد غير المنضبط لا يحقق مكافحة الجرائم، وأن المعيار هو العدالة الناجزة التي تراعي استحضار حسن النية في تصرفات الأعمال، والتي يمكن تحقيقها من خلال التكامل بين الدول وتبادل الخبرات لتجاوز التحديات التنظيمية وتحقيق بيئة قانونية جاذبة ومحفزة للتنمية.
The Attorney General Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Muajab participated in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in the Russian Federation, as part of the twenty-eighth edition of the forum, which is being held from June 18 to 21 of this year.
Al-Muajab delivered a speech in which he reviewed the legislative environment in the Kingdom, which is witnessing rapid development aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and enhancing the investment climate, through updating legal systems and developing regulatory procedures in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
He indicated that the Public Prosecution has established a number of specialized offices, the most prominent of which are the Economic Crimes Prosecution and the Financial Fraud Prosecution, aimed at supporting the investment environment and enhancing confidence in the judicial system. He added that these initiatives align with international best practices and support efforts to develop legal action tools and international judicial cooperation.
He concluded his speech by pointing out that leniency in penalties or uncontrolled strictness does not achieve crime prevention, and that the standard is effective justice that considers good faith in business actions, which can be achieved through integration between countries and the exchange of experiences to overcome regulatory challenges and achieve an attractive and stimulating legal environment for development.
