أنقذ المواطن محمد الجعيب البجادي من مركز وادي بن هشبل بمحافظة خميس مشيط، حياة 4 أطفال ووالدهم بعدما تعرضوا لحادثة مرورية وقعت على طريق الرين-الرياض قبل نحو 3 أشهر، فيما توفيت والدة الأطفال في الحال، ،وذلك أثناء توجهها مع زوجها وأطفالها الأربعة لحضور عزاء والدها في خميس مشيط، ودفنت لاحقا مع والدها في نفس اليوم.
وكان المواطن البجادي قد توقف بمركبته خلال مشاهدته الحادثة المرورية التي نتجت عن ارتطام مركبتهم بمركبة أخرى (نقل ثقيل)، إذ توفيت الزوجة، واحتُجز الزوج والأطفال الأربعة داخل مركبتهم، فيما قام المواطن المُنقذ بإسعاف الزوج والأطفال إلى مستشفى الرين، ومرافقته الأطفال الأربعة لمدة يوم في أحد المستشفيات بمحافظة المزاحمية حتى تمكن أقارب الزوج والأطفال من الوصول إليهم من محافظة بارق.
وقال البجادي في حديثه: «الفزعة والنخوة صفتان متأصلتان في المجتمع السعودي، ومثل هذا الموقف متأصل فينا كسعوديين، وهو من عاداتنا وقيمنا وتقاليدنا المجتمعية والإسلامية». من جهتها، كرّمت قبيلة آل محجوبة أثرب بني شهر من محافظة بارق، المواطن المُنقذ على موقفه البطولي.
The citizen Mohammed Al-Juaib Al-Bajadi from Wadi Ben Hashbal in Khamis Mushait saved the lives of 4 children and their father after they were involved in a traffic accident that occurred on the Al-Rain-Riyadh road about 3 months ago, while the children's mother died instantly. This happened while she was heading with her husband and their four children to attend the funeral of her father in Khamis Mushait, and she was later buried alongside her father on the same day.
The citizen Al-Bajadi had stopped his vehicle while witnessing the traffic accident that resulted from their vehicle colliding with another vehicle (a heavy transport). The wife died, and the husband and the four children were trapped inside their vehicle, while the rescuing citizen took the husband and children to Al-Rain Hospital, accompanying the four children for a day in a hospital in Al-Muzahimiyah until the relatives of the husband and children were able to reach them from the province of Baraq.
Al-Bajadi said in his statement: "Helping and chivalry are two deeply rooted traits in Saudi society, and such a situation is ingrained in us as Saudis; it is part of our customs, values, and community and Islamic traditions." For its part, the Al-Mahjoubah tribe of Athrab Bani Shahr from the province of Baraq honored the rescuing citizen for his heroic act.
