مسجد القبلتين أحد أبرز وأهم المساجد التاريخية الإسلامية بالمدينة المنوّرة، ويقع على بعد 4 كيلومترات شمال غربي المسجد النبوي، في منطقة «بنو سلمة»، ويُعدّ أحد المعالم التاريخية في المدينة المنورة. وشهد المسجد حدث تحويل القبلة من بيت المقدس إلى الكعبة المشرفة في السنة الثانية للهجرة. ويجري العمل على الانتهاء من تطوير المنطقة المحيطة به لتعزيز ورفع جودة الحياة وإثراء تجربة الزوار وأهالي المدينة المنورة. ويشهد مسجد القبلتين توافد الزائرين بشكل يومي. وأشاد الزوار بالطابع الهندسي الإسلامي الجميل للمسجد بعد اكتمال مراحل تطويره وتوسعته، وذلك ضمن مشروع «مركز القبلتين الحضاري». وقال محمد حسين مهندس معماري من مصر خلال زيارته إن المسجد تحفة معمارية هندسية صممت بشكل نموذجي رائع، وتمت مراعاة كافة الجوانب الخدمية له.
يذكر أن مسجد القبلتين شهد أخيراً أعمال تشييد وبناء، لتوسعته، وتطوير مرافقه، وزيادة طاقته الاستيعابية لتصل إلى 3 آلاف مصلٍ. ويشمل المشروع إضافة العديد من الخدمات، وتشييد مركز ثقافي ملحق بالمسجد، وتهيئة مساحات خارجية للمشاة، وتركيب سلالم كهربائية، ومصاعد لخدمة المصلين، لتسهيل التنقل بين أرجاء المسجد والساحات الخارجية العلوية، ووصول المشاة إلى الطرق المحيطة على جانبي المسجد، لخدمة مرتاديه على مدار العام، ضمن مشروع يهدف إلى تعميق وإثراء تجربة ضيوف الرحمن من الحجاج والمعتمرين.
The Two Qiblahs Mosque is one of the most prominent and important historical Islamic mosques in Medina, located 4 kilometers northwest of the Prophet's Mosque, in the "Banu Salama" area. It is considered one of the historical landmarks in Medina. The mosque witnessed the event of the change of the qiblah from Jerusalem to the Kaaba in the second year of Hijra. Work is underway to complete the development of the surrounding area to enhance and improve the quality of life and enrich the experience of visitors and residents of Medina. The Two Qiblahs Mosque sees a daily influx of visitors. Visitors have praised the beautiful Islamic architectural style of the mosque after the completion of its development and expansion phases, as part of the "Two Qiblahs Cultural Center" project. Mohamed Hussein, an architect from Egypt, stated during his visit that the mosque is an architectural masterpiece designed in a wonderfully exemplary manner, taking into account all its service aspects.
It is worth mentioning that the Two Qiblahs Mosque has recently undergone construction and building work for its expansion, development of its facilities, and increasing its capacity to accommodate 3,000 worshippers. The project includes the addition of many services, the construction of a cultural center attached to the mosque, the preparation of outdoor pedestrian areas, the installation of escalators, and elevators to serve the worshippers, facilitating movement between the mosque and the upper outdoor courtyards, and allowing pedestrians to access the surrounding roads on both sides of the mosque, to serve its visitors throughout the year, as part of a project aimed at deepening and enriching the experience of the guests of Allah, the pilgrims and Umrah performers.
