أكدت المفوضية الأوروبية في تقريرها الصادر بشأن حماية وإنفاذ حقوق الملكية الفكرية في الدول غير الأعضاء في الاتحاد الأوروبي، أن التحسن الذي حققته المملكة في هذا المجال يعكس التطور الملموس في بيئة الملكية الفكرية بالمملكة، حيث لم تدرج ضمن الدول المشمولة بالمراقبة في التقرير.
وتصدر المفوضية الأوروبية تقريرها الدوري كل عامين لتقييم مدى التزام الدول غير الأعضاء في الاتحاد الأوروبي بتطبيق المعايير الدولية في مجال حماية وإنفاذ حقوق الملكية الفكرية.
وأظهرت النسخة الأخيرة من التقرير ما شهدته المملكة من تطورات ملموسة في هذا المجال؛ نتيجة للجهود المكثفة في تحديث التشريعات، ورفع كفاءة جهات الإنفاذ، وتعزيز التعاون الدولي.
وفي ذات السياق، كان «تقرير مؤشر الملكية الفكرية الدولي 2025»، الصادر عن غرفة التجارة الأمريكية في شهر أبريل الماضي، أظهر تحقيق المملكة قفزة نوعية في التصنيف العالمي، حيث تقدمت 17 مركزاً لتحتل المرتبة 25 من بين 55 دولة شملها التقرير مسجلة أعلى معدل تحسن بين جميع الدول بنسبة بلغت 17.55% في مجموع نقاطها مقارنة بالإصدار السابق، متفوقة بذلك على متوسط دول الشرق الأوسط.
وتأتي هذه الإنجازات في إطار الدعم الكبير الذي يحظى به قطاع الملكية الفكرية من القيادة، وتجسد التزام المملكة بتطبيق المعايير الدولية، ومواصلة العمل على ترسيخ مكانتها كشريك موثوق في حماية حقوق الملكية الفكرية إقليمياً ودولياً، إضافةً إلى تهيئة بيئة محفزة للإبداع والابتكار، بما ينسجم مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.

The European Commission confirmed in its report on the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in non-EU countries that the improvements achieved by the Kingdom in this area reflect the tangible development in the intellectual property environment in the Kingdom, as it was not included among the countries under monitoring in the report.
The European Commission issues its periodic report every two years to assess the commitment of non-EU countries to applying international standards in the field of protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights.
The latest version of the report showed the tangible developments witnessed by the Kingdom in this area, resulting from intensive efforts to update legislation, enhance the efficiency of enforcement agencies, and strengthen international cooperation.
In the same context, the "International Intellectual Property Index 2025" report, issued by the American Chamber of Commerce last April, showed that the Kingdom achieved a qualitative leap in the global ranking, advancing 17 positions to rank 25th among 55 countries included in the report, recording the highest improvement rate among all countries at 17.55% in its total score compared to the previous edition, thus surpassing the average of Middle Eastern countries.
These achievements come as part of the significant support that the intellectual property sector receives from the leadership, embodying the Kingdom's commitment to applying international standards and continuing to work on establishing its position as a reliable partner in protecting intellectual property rights regionally and internationally, in addition to creating an environment that stimulates creativity and innovation, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030.
