تأتي زيارة وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان والوفد الاقتصادي رفيع المستوى المرافق له لسورية، بعد جهود المملكة الناجحة في رفع العقوبات الأمريكية والأوروبية عن دمشق.
وتكتسب هذه الزيارة أهميتها كونها تأتي بعد رفع العقوبات، ما يبرهن الموقف الصلب لولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان، الذي جلب لسورية دعماً دولياً غير مسبوق بقيادة أمريكا، بعد أن أعلن ترمب من قلب الرياض قراراً تاريخياً يقضي برفع العقوبات عن سورية الشقيقة، وهو ما قوبل بارتياح تام من الشعب السوري، الذي لن ينسى للمملكة هذا الموقف التاريخي.
ولعل اللافت في زيارة وزير الخارجية، هو الوفد الاقتصادي رفيع المستوى الذي يضم المستشار بالديوان الملكي محمد بن مزيد التويجري، ونائب وزير المالية عبدالمحسن بن سعد الخلف، ومساعد وزير الاستثمار الدكتور عبدالله بن علي الدبيخي، ووكيل وزارة الخارجية لشؤون الاقتصاد والتنمية عبدالله بن فهد بن زرعة، وعدداً من المسؤولين في مختلف القطاعات، الذين سيعقدون جلسة مشاورات مع نظرائهم من الجانب السوري، لبحث سبل العمل المشترك بما يسهم في دعم اقتصاد سورية، ويعزز بناء المؤسسات الحكومية فيها، ويحقق تطلعات الشعب السوري الشقيق.
وتبقى المملكة العون والسند لسورية إلى أن تستعيد كامل أمنها واستقرارها، وبما يسهم في تنميتها الشاملة، ويحقق آمال وتطلعات الشعب السوري الشقيق، الذي يستحق الحياة الكريمة بعد أن عانى كثيراً إبان حقبة الرئيس المخلوع بشار الأسد.
