بعد تبني الحرس الثوري الهجوم عليها، عرضت وسائل إعلام إيرانية، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، مقاطع لسفينة شحن تعرضت لهجوم أمس، على بعد نحو 40 ميلاً بحرياً جنوب شرقي ميناء أم قصر العراقي.
وأظهرت لقطات بثتها وكالة «فارس» أن السفينة تعرضت لفتحة كبيرة في جانبها الأيمن عند مستوى خط المياه، ويُظهر الفيديو أن السفينة تحمل شعار شركة «إم إس سي».
وكان الحرس الثوري الإيراني قد أعلن، أمس، استخدام صاروخ كروز لاستهداف سفينة قال إن اسمها (MSC Sariska)، فيما ذكرت هيئة عمليات التجارة البحرية البريطانية، التي تراقب حركة الملاحة في المنطقة، أن السفينة تعرضت لضربة في الخليج العربي على بعد نحو 40 ميلاً بحرياً جنوب شرقي ميناء أم قصر العراقي.
وقالت الهيئة إن السفينة «أبلغت عن وقوع انفجارين واندلاع حريق على متنها، قبل أن تتم السيطرة عليه لاحقاً»، مؤكدة عدم وقوع إصابات بين أفراد الطاقم.
ولم تكشف الهيئة البريطانية عن اسم السفينة، لكن بيانات تتبع الملاحة البحرية أظهرت وجود السفينة MSC Sariska V في المنطقة نفسها، بحسب ما أوردت شبكة «سي إن إن».
ومن جهة أخرى، نقلت وكالة أنباء فارس عن المتحدث باسم الحرس الثوري الإيراني قوله إن قواته على أهبة الاستعداد لجميع السيناريوهات المحتملة.
ولفت إلى أن بلاده ثبتت سيادتها على مضيق هرمز وتعمل على إدارته، فيما نقلت صحيفة «واشنطن بوست» عن مصادر قولهم إن مسؤولين عسكريين أمريكيين في قارات عدة رفعوا مستوى الحماية تحسبا لعودة القتال.
After the Revolutionary Guard adopted the attack on it, Iranian media presented, today (Tuesday), footage of a cargo ship that was attacked yesterday, about 40 nautical miles southeast of the Iraqi port of Umm Qasr.
The footage broadcast by the "Fars" news agency showed that the ship sustained a large hole in its right side at the waterline, and the video indicates that the ship bears the logo of the "MSC" company.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced yesterday that it used a cruise missile to target a ship it said was named (MSC Sariska), while the UK Maritime Trade Operations, which monitors shipping movements in the area, reported that the ship was struck in the Arabian Gulf about 40 nautical miles southeast of the Iraqi port of Umm Qasr.
The agency stated that the ship "reported two explosions and a fire on board, before it was later brought under control," confirming that there were no injuries among the crew members.
The British agency did not disclose the name of the ship, but maritime tracking data showed the presence of the MSC Sariska V in the same area, according to what was reported by CNN.
On another note, the Fars news agency quoted a spokesman for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as saying that its forces are on high alert for all potential scenarios.
He pointed out that his country has established its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz and is working to manage it, while the Washington Post reported sources saying that U.S. military officials in several continents have raised the level of protection in anticipation of a return to combat.
